The Production Of Space And The National Memory

The ecological environment surrounding the Ili river valley is beautiful. It is rich in resources. It is known as "Jiangnan out of the Great Wall" and "the wet island in western regions". Looking from the regional location space, it is located in the northwest of our country, and a piece of "edge" in China. It is on the west side of Kazakhstan. It is the center of Eurasia, and also the land to the Ancient Silk Road. Here is the largest port in northwest——Huoerguos, which becomes the "bridge" across the Eurasian. Looking from the regional political space, it is "the absolute edge "of "central plains-center-the central". But in the dimension of time, it is the historical process from the "central" into the "center", and also the core region for the empire competition. Thanks to its geographic factors, it is the symbiotic space of the convergence between nationalities, cultures and religions along with the flowing of the nationalities. In especially, after the establishment of the modern nation-state, it became a diversity "paradise". Looking From the cultural space, the constantly moving of cultural groups in history, the diversity has always been the main mainstream. The Hui nationality faces a cultural adaptation and a cultural choice after moving into this "diversity" of space about both language and Islamic culture, or special "identity". During this period, the changes become the history mainstream in the living space development, and the diversity is the choice of survival strategies.Therefore, firstly, this paper combs the history of Hui immigration into Ili river valley, and describes their miserable immigration process after describing Hui’s "historical events" and "imperial game" by excavating local Hui historical memory. Secondly, this paper explains the construction process of multiple identities with the help of some historical memory. Then recount and analysis the Economic space and educational space by Livelihoods memory and School memorie.Finally, this paper interprets the cultural change in the social adaptation of Hui nationality with two dimensions of the "transplant" of the culture and the "reproduction" of space.I think that the changes to adapt the society, which is a survival strategy choice in the variety and diversity within the space, is a common phenomenon in Hui immigration process. The Hui ethnic group image suggests the "diversity". Since the Qing dynasty, the several key "points" among Chinese historical changes are several important turning points in the process of Hui nationality immigrants. The "Big history" brought Hui nationality constant immigrant history. A Historical Anthropology Study on Hui Surrounding Ili River Valley in Xinjiang Hui nationality not only shows the changes of the "big history" but also shows the presence of different ethnic groups and cultural harmony as a case.
