With the proposal of scientific inquiry as an important content in the core literacy of biology discipline,the cultivation of scientific inquiry ability of high school students has received great attention.However,due to the influence of teaching time,teaching strategies,teachers' quality and other factors,the implementation effect is still not ideal.As experimental teaching is the main way to cultivate the ability of scientific inquiry,how teachers cultivate students' ability of scientific inquiry through experimental teaching is still a hot and difficult issue in teaching.Therefore,this paper takes high school biology experiment teaching as the starting point and combines practical teaching to explore the teaching principles and strategies to effectively improve students' scientific inquiry ability,hoping to provide suggestions and references for high school biology teaching.First of all,through reading relevant literature,the background of the subject research is elaborated and the current research status of experimental teaching and scientific inquiry ability cultivation at home and abroad is summarized.On this basis,the elements of scientific inquiry ability are divided by combining the analysis of the new curriculum standards.Secondly,the questionnaire survey and interview method are used to investigate the ability of experimental teaching to cultivate students' scientific inquiry.Based on the integrated analysis of the new curriculum standard and the survey results,the principles and strategies of practical teaching are formulated.Thirdly,on the basis of constructivism,cognitive discovery and other learning theories,combined with the proposed teaching principles and strategies,experiments are selected to carry out case design and educational experiment method is used to carry out practical teaching.Finally,the teaching effect is analyzed and summarized through the examination of final exam questions and the questionnaire survey of scientific inquiry ability.The survey found that students were able to ask questions,but only at the surface.Students have high communication skills,but the form is more than the content,and they lack the ability of independent thinking and planning when carrying out experiments.Teachers hold a positive attitude towards the cultivation of scientific inquiry ability,and have made sufficient preparations for experimental teaching.However,teaching forms and evaluation methods are single,and innovative thinking is lacking in the development and improvement of experiments.The research shows that the teaching principles and strategies proposed in this paper have a promoting effect on improving students' scores of scientific inquiry tests,especially for students with poor foundation and low scores.In terms of scientific inquiry ability,the experimental classes were all higher than the control classes,and there were significant differences.Therefore,it is beneficial to the cultivation of students' scientific inquiry ability to carry out experimental teaching by using the principles of innovation,science,interest,intuition,open teaching,learning plan guidance,comprehensive evaluation and group cooperation.
