Rodin is a great sculptor with epoch-making significance since Phidias and Michelangelo,and the most dazzling star in European sculpture from the end of the 19 th century to the beginning of the 20 th century.Mr.Liu Haisu evaluated Rodin as the third mountain in the history of Western sculpture in "Rodin's Art Theory".Rodin challenged the conservative ideas of the academic school with his extraordinary artistic talent and opened a window for modern sculpture.His artistic thought has undoubtedly exerted an important influence on the development of Western art.More importantly,his aesthetic thought and artistic life have also provided enlightenment and reference for contemporary middle school art education.This article analyzes Rodin's art theory and aesthetic thoughts and his brilliant artistic achievements,and examines the current junior high school art education based on this,and obtains valuable experience that is worth learning from.The article is divided into four chapters:chapter one describes the research background and current situation of Rodin's aesthetics,as well as the purpose and methods of the study;chapter two summarizes the ideological connotation of Rodin's aesthetics,and summarizes it into three points,That is,advocating the nature,learning the traditions and innovation;the third chapter combines the relevant pedagogy to analyze the value of Rodin's aesthetics in junior high school art teaching,and summarizes it into three points,that is,it is conducive to the physical and mental health of students and the cultivation of students Independent aesthetic ability and cultivate students' spirit of reverence for traditions;chapter four designs two teaching cases based on the relevant content of the theoretical part and combines theory with practice.Starting from specific teaching cases,the value of Rodin's aesthetics in junior high school art teaching is proved through the practical processes.It is hoped that it can provide some references for educators in their research in this field.
