Mathematics application problems have strong comprehensiveness and are regarded as an important carrier to improve the ability of mathematics application while acting as an important part of mathematics teaching and discipline.Only by constantly improving students' relevant solving ability can we effectively develop their mathematical core literacy.How is the current condition of freshmen under such conditions? From the geometric visual perspective,whether teachers' teaching method can adapt to students' deep learning is a quite concerned issue in the current cultivation of mathematical application ability.First of all,the freshmen in the first grade of junior high school in L city were selected as the research object,and the status of their mathematical application ability was achieved through a questionnaire survey.The results showed that they had relevant interest in this topic,they also knew that learning and mastering the solving method is quite vital for future life.Besides,they thought although teachers had a passion in the class teaching,they were mainly applied traditional formula template without arousing the learning enthusiasm of students,so it was hard to guide students to actively participate in class teaching,resulting in carelessly listening and further difficulty in solving mathematics application problems.Therefore,the corresponding main problems were summarized as follows:(1)In the field of mathematics and algebra,students were mainly lack of using graphics to describe and analyze problems visually;(2)In solving the mathematical application questions in the field of graphics and geometry,the students mainly lack of hands-on operation and graphics movement operation;(3)In solving the mathematical application questions in the field of statistics and probability,students mainly lack of intuitive,orderly and comprehensive expression with the help of simple symbols.Secondly,the existing problems based on the findings and test analysis,using the case analysis method,we put forward three teaching strategies for the teaching of mathematics application questions:(1)Cultivate the students to describe and analyze the mathematical application questions in the number and algebra field with the help of graphics intuition,and improve the students' ability to describe and analyze the problems;(2)Cultivate the students to conduct geometric visual exploration in the field of graphics and geometry through hands-on operation of objects and motion operation of graphs,so as to promote their development in abstract logical thinking ability;(3)Cultivate the students to express the results in the field of statistics and probability visually,orderly and comprehensively with the help of simple symbols,thus promoting their formation in orderly thinking.Then,by selecting two classes for traditional application formula template teaching and innovative geometric intuitive teaching experiment,the experimental results showed that:(1)It could enable students to describe and analyze mathematical problems more visually,(2)It can inspire students to look for problem-solving ideas with the help of graphical visuality;(3)It can help students correctly grasp the quantitative relationship in the questions and solve them in different ways,so as to improve their problem-solving ability and promote the teaching effect along with the relevant teaching quality.Finally,according to the research results of reflection,it put forward the teaching suggestions for the development of junior freshmen mathematics application problem ability.
