In history teaching in junior high school,mind mapping is a tool that integrates symbols,words and pictures to represent the knowledge that is not easy to understand in a structured,systematic and visual way,on the premise of respecting the historical facts and the temporal and spatial sequence of historical development.It helps teachers integrate the subject knowledge into a whole according to the logical order that students can easily understand,and shows the knowledge structure of the history subject,thus presenting the original abstract knowledge information and the logic relationship hidden behind the knowledge in a graphical way;students can use the graphical way to experience according to their own way of thinking and the actual needs of solving problems.History knowledge should be reorganized and integrated again to help students learn new knowledge,consolidate old knowledge,solve problems and cultivate their abilities.The use of mind mapping in teaching can present the spatial and temporal sequence of historical development more intuitively and vividly.With the help of mind mapping,teachers and students can integrate the fragmented knowledge points in an orderly way,so that the historical development clues which originally contained in the historical facts can be more intuitively displayed,thus helping to cultivate students' concept of time and space in the development of history.The application of mind mapping in teaching can also help to construct a disciplinary knowledge system that conforms to students' cognitive style and thinking mode.In teaching,teachers and students use mind mapping together,which can not only help teachers understand students' thinking level,cultivate students' thinking ability,but also enable teaching activities to meet students' personalized needs,so as to practice the teaching principle of teaching students in accordance with their aptitude.In addition,the use of mind mapping in teaching can also help students to optimize the method of learning history.With the expansion of the application scope of mind mapping in history teaching in junior middle school,many new problems are gradually exposed in dailyteaching.Based on the questionnaire data and interview results,this study analyzed the problems in the application of mind mapping in junior middle school history teaching after the popularization of the Department edited junior middle school history textbooks and put forward the corresponding strategies.In addition,this study also combines the content of the new version of junior high school history textbook which is being promoted at present to provide examples for how to use mind mapping to assist the current junior high school history teaching.
