The rapid development of society and the continuous progress of science and technology increase the need for innovative talents.STEAM education is born in line with the times.This new interdisciplinary education mode provides hope for the cultivation of innovative talents,and has been pursued by education practitioners at home and abroad.STEAM education is not only a way to cultivate innovative talents,but also an effective way to implement the educational concept of "education simultaneously".Up to now,domestic research on STEAM education is gradually localized.In March 2020,domestic scholars named the STEAM course based on Chinese excellent traditional culture as C-STEAM course for the first time.C-STEAM course is a localized STEAM course guided by the core values of promoting Chinese excellent traditional culture.Mulberry culture is an important part of Chinese excellent traditional culture.Based on this,this paper carries out a practical research on junior high school biology C-STEAM curriculum based on Nanchong mulberry culture.Based on the research results of relevant scholars in STEAM curriculum design mode,this study summarizes the general process of junior high school biology C-STEAM curriculum design: selecting curriculum content ? analysis before design(including understanding cultural connotation and clarifying biological basis)?determining teaching objectives ? design the curriculum activities? curriculum implementation ? curriculum evaluation and reflection.Then,combined with the relevant biological basis,design the biological C-STEAM course based on Nanchong mulberry culture,which is in line with the cognitive ability of junior high school students.This course includes four contents: "technology leads the times-mulberry bark papermaking" ? "wine is not afraid of deep alleys-mulberry wine making" ? "sour taste on the tongue-the use of mulberry vinegar" ? "mulberry red-the magic of anthocyanins",It not only consolidates and extends the biological knowledge in junior high school biology textbooks,but also enables students to learn Nanchong mulberry culture through artistic creation,scientific experiment exploration,cultural knowledge sharing and other classroom links.(1)"Technology leads the times-mulberry bark papermaking" integrates biology,modern technology,art and other disciplines,allowing students to learn the traditional papermaking process and the principle of movable type printing,using modern 3D printing technology to restore movable type printing,and combining with art composition knowledge to make floral paper.In the aspect of biology,students understand the composition of paper,the important role of cellulose in animals and plants,and the main function of cellulose as a dietary fiber for human body.(2)"Wine is not afraid of deep alleys-mulberry wine making" integrates biology,engineering,chemistry,mathematics and other disciplines,so that students can experience the production process of fruit wine,design wine making device,and explore the influence of alcohol concentration on sterilization effect.In biology,students learn the fermentation of alcohol and the principle of alcohol disinfection.(3)"Sour taste on the tip of the tongue--the use of mulberry vinegar" integrates biology,modern technology,engineering,art and other disciplines,so that students can learn how to make fruit vinegar.Adobe Photoshop is used to design and make product logo for their own vinegar products,and the similarities and differences between brewing vinegar and brewing wine are compared.In biology,the students studied the physical and chemical properties of vinegar and the fermentation principle of fruit vinegar.(4)"Mulberry red-the magic of anthocyanins" integrates biology,modern technology,art,mathematics and other disciplines,so that students can explore the physical and chemical properties of anthocyanins,experience traditional tie dyeing technology,combine programming with tie dyeing,and design geometric tie dyeing patterns with logical thinking.In biology,students understand the distribution,function and physicochemical properties of plant pigments in cells.Then in X Middle School Teaching Practice of some courses,students' participation is high in class.Students' feedback after class is rich,interesting and fruitful.The practice results have reached the expected goal,which proves that it is feasible and practical significance to carry out junior high school biology C-STEAM course based on Nanchong mulberry culture.The course combines modern technology,scientific experiment and traditional culture to realize learning from playing and improve students' practical ability and innovation ability from interesting activities.At the same time,the C-STEAM course is not only an effective way to practice aesthetic education,but also enriches the local STEAM curriculum resources in Nanchong,which is conducive to the inheritance and development of Chinese excellent traditional culture in the young generation and contemporary middle school students establish "cultural confidence".
