On the one hand,the important foundation of national education is basic education,and improving the level of basic education in western backward areas is the key to realize the overall improvement of basic education.On the other hand,history textbooks have been unified nationwide since 2019,and the National Defense Education Program for Primary and Junior High Schools of the State Education Commission(Trial)has linked history education with national defense security and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation at the national level,increasing the importance of history education.Therefore,it is very important to study the present situation of history learning in compulsory education in remote towns and put forward countermeasures.This paper selected Youzhou Middle School as the object of investigation.That is because Youyang belongs to the remote area of Chongqing,which is economically backward,but it does not stingy investment in education.Youzhou Middle School belongs to a traditional elite school in Youyang County.It is located in the county and has highquality teachers and students.However,according to the detection of several history tests and the teaching feedback from front-line history teachers,it is found that the students in Youzhou Middle School ignore history learning,and so on.When the teachers and students of excellent schools appear to ignore the phenomenon of history learning,other remote and backward schools should be more prominent such a phenomenon,so Youzhou Middle School has a typical research.This paper is mainly divided into the following seven parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces the background of the question and the significance of the topic.The second part starts with the open-book examination of senior high school entrance examination and the social environment atmosphere in Youyang,analyzes the necessity and disadvantages of the open-book examination of history,and uses the field research method to analyze the influence of the social environment atmosphere in Youyang on the status quo of history learning,and draws the conclusion that the social history learning atmosphere is insufficient.The third part analyzes the role and deficiency of the educational administrative departments in promoting the history education in middle schools,and reveals the problems such as the lack of creating resources and conditions for history education in the educational departments of Youyang County,as well as the single assessment standard for schools and teachers.The fourth part,using the interview method,analyzes the influence of teachers' professional identity,age,educational background and educational concept on education and teaching,and reveals the problems of teachers' teaching evaluation method and single standard.The fifth and sixth parts,through questionnaire survey and interview method,analyze the reasons for not paying attention to history from the perspective of students and their parents,and draw the conclusion that students lack intrinsic motivation in history learning and family education is lacking.The seventh part,in view of the appeal,puts forward the countermeasures in five aspects,namely the relevant government departments should Shi Ce science,school innovation education management system,history teachers,parents,students,changing ideas,thus to understand the remote areas of chongqing middle school history learning status,is conducive to improving the quality of junior middle school history teaching,promote the overall You Yang County education the improvement of teaching quality.
