Internet addiction refers to an individual's excessive use of the mobile Internet without material control,which indirectly leads to the damage of its obvious mental,social,and psychological system functions,and then directly causes a series of individual psychological,mental,physical and other disease syndromes.In recent years,the number of Internet addiction among junior high school students in rural areas has continued to increase rapidly.It is very necessary to investigate and understand the current situation of Internet addiction among junior high school students,especially targeted scientific research on Internet addiction intervention.This study randomly selected 900 junior high school students from three rural junior high schools in Chongqing,and used the "Adolescent Pathological Internet Use Scale" to investigate the status quo and characteristics of rural junior high school students' Internet addiction,and selected those with higher scores Students,through group psychological counseling,intervened and corrected their Internet addiction behavior,and obtained the following research results.(1)Among the 900 junior high school students in the survey,186 junior high school students are living with Internet addiction.It shows that the proportion of Internet addiction among rural junior high school students is 20.6%,which is a relatively high proportion.(2)Among the 186 junior high school students with Internet addiction,the average total score of Internet addiction is 3.67,which is higher than the median of 3,which is at the upper-middle level,indicating that the rural junior high school students have a higher level of Internet addiction.In further demographic analysis,it is found that Internet addicts of rural junior high school students have significant differences in several main aspects such as gender,Internet location,Internet purpose,whether they are an only child,and the educational level of parents in the family rearing style.(3)The group psychological counseling program designed and implemented for the correction of Internet addiction for junior high school students has a significant effect,and is a successful attempt to correct the Internet addiction of junior high school students.
