The importance of education for national development and personal growth is self-evident.Affected by the concept of “don't let children lose on the starting line”,Chinese parents are very generous in their children's education investment,such as the popular TV series "Tiger Mom Cat" Bi Shengnan,the "tiger mother" in "Dad",and Cai Meier,who practiced strict parenting in the hot-selling book "Battle Hymn of Tiger Mother",are the shadows of many parents in China today.Their "crazy" investment in their children's education has caused widespread online Hot discussion has also attracted the attention of many scholars.The role of family education investment and school education investment is becoming more and more fierce.Can a large amount of family education investment really promote the improvement of children's academic achievement? How to invest in family education to promote the improvement of children's academic achievement level? With these questions,this research deeply explores the relationship between family education investment and students' academic achievement,hoping to provide some reference and reference for parents and follow-up researchers.This research is based on the theory of human capital and social capital,using questionnaires and interviews to survey 272 sixth-grade students and their parents in three primary schools in S District of Chongqing City,using family education investment as the main line of research,combining The test of the academic achievement level of elementary school students in Chinese and mathematics,in-depth exploration of the relationship between family education investment and the academic achievement of elementary school students.The results of this study show that: firstly,there are significant differences in the family education investment of the three primary schools in Chongqing S District,and family factors are the main factors affecting family education investment;secondly,family education investment is positively correlated with the academic achievement level of primary school students;and finally There are differences in the influence of family education investment on pupils' academic achievement level,and the influence of emotional investment on pupils' academic achievement level is greater than economic investment.The conclusions of this study not only confirm the viewpoints of Schultz's human capital theory,it is necessary to invest in education to a certain extent,but also further confirm the “social capital within the family” mentioned by Coleman in the social capital theory.According to the view,the various financial support and emotional attention of parents to their children's education are the main factors that affect the improvement of their children's academic achievements.Based on the research conclusions,corresponding suggestions are made for parents to invest in education.First,ideologically,we should pay attention to family education investment and establish a scientific concept of education investment;secondly,we should strengthen family education investment in action,respect children's actual educational needs,and in terms of economic investment,we should base ourselves on children's actual educational needs,and do what we can.In terms of emotional investment,we must pay attention to parent-child interaction and joint participation.
