Historical materials are the prerequisite and basis for understanding and studying history.In recent years,with the continuous advancement of the history curriculum reform,the role of historical materials in history teaching has become more and more prominent.The use of historical materials has become the consensus of many junior high school history teachers.Among them,written historical materials are the most abundant and richest historical materials,which are widely used in history classes.As the first-hand resource for teachers’ teaching and students’ learning,middle school history textbooks also pay more and more attention to the arrangement of historical materials,especially written historical materials.The latest edition of the compulsory education history textbook compiled by the Ministry of Education pays great attention to the quotation and arrangement of written historical materials.It arranges written historical materials in the columns of the auxiliary system for material study,related historical events,character scanning,and knowledge development.It is not only rich in types and numbers,but also of moderate difficulty,which meets the cognitive level of junior high school students,breaks through the key and difficult points,deepens the supplementary text,and pays attention to the connection between junior and senior high schools.In order to understand the current situation of teachers and students using textbook historical materials better,discover the problems that arise in the process of using textbook historical materials,and propose solutions to the problems,the author separately designed teacher questionnaires and student questionnaires.Through the analysis of the results of the historical materials,it can be seen that both teachers and students are generally aware of the role and status of textbook historical materials,but in the application process,there are also teachers who cannot study carefully,do not understand thoroughly,and students lack a set of effective interpretation of historical materials.In view of the analysis of the questionnaire survey results and the layout characteristics of the textbook historical materials of the departmental edition,the author gives the strategies of using textbook historical materials from the perspectives of teachers and students,in order to provide teachers with methods and suggestions for teaching textbook historical materials,and provide students with methods and suggestions for reading and analyzing textbook historical materials.
