Therefore, history research needs historical materials. Discipline of history based on the results of studies on the history, so history teaching also requires historical materials.History materials compiled in history textbook are elaborately selected by textbook compilers, closely related to the content of textbook,and are more credible because of textual research.History materials compiled in textbook should be the fisrt choice when history teachers choose materials.Since the Republic of China, there will be tradition that historical materials were inserted into the history textbooks.The thesis surveys that there are some problems in text," Establishment of the British monarchy ",from PEP history textbook,but overall the history materials compiled in this text are high value though analysis of integrating degree with curriculum standard, students’ actual level and the content of the text.Then the thesis surveys that there are some phenomenon that the utilization of history materials, especially the images, is not high,the use of some history materials deviates form instructional objectives,and exploited low or excessive reasoning,and the issues designde based on history materials are not appropriate by analyzing the use of history materials compiled in textbook form three instruction cases.Why?One is that information available for students from history materials compiled in textbook is limited or relatively obscure interpretation, and teachers do not know how to use.The other is closely related to their professional knowledge and skills.
