According to the requirements of the outline of national medium and long-term education reform and development plan 2010-2020,the teachers working in the first education front should explore various educational methods and train all kinds of talents,which can not be done without the study of mathematics.Mathematics,as a basic subject,is an important tool to solve problems.As one of the six core qualities of mathematics,logical reasoning ability of mathematics is being paid close attention to by mathematics education circles.The development and competition of the country is closely related with high-tech talents.High school is the key period for the formation and cultivation of students' ability.It is also an important stage to select and train socialist successors for the country and a vital guarantee of the national civilization to improve the overall quality of high school students.Meanwhile,Improving gifted students in senior high school is an important prerequisite for the innovation and development of national top technology;improving the logical ability of gifted students in mathematics is an important beginning of a new round of basic education reform.This study focuses on the performance of logical reasoning ability of gifted students in mathematics in senior high schools in the fields related to mathematics and whether there are differences in logical reasoning ability of senior mathematics talents in different fields,in their mathematical logical reasoning ability level as well as in gender.In the school where the author works,1600 students in grade two were selected to test the top 5% of the students with math scores.Also,by communicating with other teachers of these students face to face,I have known that they all have an extremely high level of understanding and strong interest in mathematics.This paper mainly uses the literature analysis method and the investigation research method to carry on the present situation investigation.When analyzing the data,I adopt the following methods : the most commonly used Cronbach's alpha coefficien;the percentage statistics method;the single sample t test and the independent sample t test.The performance and distribution level of the logical reasoning ability of senior mathematics talents are mainly analyzed in this part.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)The logical reasoning ability of senior high school mathematics gifted students is in the middle level of the development,7.5% of them are at the U level,Less of them got high marks mainly by doing a mountain of exercises and inducing and summarizing various question types.So their marks are lower in the sudden test.And 35% of them are at the M level and have a certain ability to understand mathematics,but reasoning can only be based on single or few conditions.Besides,37.5% of them are at the R level;20% of them are at the E level.Surprisingly,some of them have a great talent for mathematics.Sometimes they can understand completely without the help of teachers and dig out the hidden conditions by using only several given conditions in the question by themselves,thus making it possible for them to make synthetic reasoning.(2)Whether there is no significant difference in the logical reasoning ability of senior high school mathematics students in terms of gender is based on the comparison of performance ability and reasoning mode in the logical reasoning test between male and female students.Using the independent sample t test,we can draw a conclusion that the coefficient t is 0.912 and the P value is 0.364>0.05,thus indicating that there is no significant difference in gender,that is,there is little difference.It is worthwhile paying attention to: boys do respond faster in mathematical logical reasoning(in the speed of doing questions,more sensitive in class),but girls appear to write more carefully in answering questions.Therefore,the overall scores compared,there is little difference.(3)By means of classroom observation,student test and interview,we can track the development process of logical reasoning ability of mathematics gifted students,explore the teaching strategies of cultivating logical reasoning ability of senior high school mathematics gifted students;we can also put forward some organizational strategies for the development of logical reasoning ability to offer ideas to some teaching designs through interviews with senior teachers and summary of classroom records.(4)The logical reasoning ability level of senior high school mathematics gifted students is M and R,and the situation is ideal.Among them,the ability of deductive reasoning is the best,and the ability of reasonable reasoning is a little weak,and The level of inductive reasoning ability is better than that of analogy ability.
