| It would be a pity if the normal path of education did not involve educational discipline,and it would be a one-sided and incomplete educational process.Based on a rational and calm view of educational discipline,we can find that it is actually a part of teachers’ daily education and management.Although there are repeated reports in the mass media that educational discipline has been misused or even abused in some places,it is also because some educators’ educational cognition and educational philosophy are biased,which leads to the dilemma of using educational discipline in reality.In order to clarify the origin of the issue of educational discipline,and to explore the logic behind the operation of educational discipline,so that the normal educational activity of educational discipline can return to its proper place in education.This study hopes to use the spirit of discipline and autonomy in moral education as the theoretical basis to explore the essential possibilities behind the operation of educational discipline,to justify its existence and use,and to provide theoretical and practical insight and in-depth analysis of the occurrence and activities of educational discipline.Along with the theoretical foundation,the study also explores the intrinsic value and significance of educational discipline in schools in terms of the construction of life experiences and the promotion of behavioral development.The current situation of educational discipline implementation in Y middle school in a city of Hubei province was described and analyzed through literature research method,survey method and case study method,and the main problems of educational discipline in junior high schools were further identified: the lack of deep understanding of educational discipline,the lack of clear basis for educational discipline,the lack of clear purpose of educational discipline,the one-sided way of educational discipline implementation,and the poor ideal effect of educational discipline.At the same time,the causes of the problems in the implementation of educational discipline are examined,which are mainly attributed to three reasons: first,the construction of school disciplinary system lags behind the real needs;second,the comprehensive quality of teachers needs to be improved;and third,the parents and social groups have a deviant view of discipline.Finally,on this basis,we propose corresponding countermeasures to the current situation and environment in terms of the construction and implementation of the educational disciplinary system,teachers’ clarification of educational disciplinary concepts,and parents’ rational understanding of educational discipline,in order to address the causes of the problem at the school,teacher,and parent levels.In view of this,it is believed that doing so will give educational discipline a better chance to fulfill its educational function and nurturing value. |
