Chemistry is a central subject with more comprehensiveness,so it is necessary to use a variety of teaching resources in the chemistry class to show the colorful chemistry teaching.As a way of artistic expression,animation is a typical representative of the new audio-visual culture.Animation is gradually favored by the majority of educators,because of its unique characteristics of high expression as well as high freedom,and the restrictions of cross-time and cross-space.Excellent works of animation can carry the richness of their content,which is very consistent with the idea advocated by the reform of new curriculum.With the broadcast of the Japanese animation Operating Cell on CCTV-6,the influence of animation in education that has the value of the popularization of medical science is gradually being recognized.Thus,the introduction of animation is gradually approved in chemistry classes.As a matter of fact,some educators have already paid attention to this phenomenon,but have not carried out systematic and in-depth research.The application of animation resources in chemistry teaching can break through the important and difficult points in teaching,promote students' thinking and communication,stimulate learning interest,assist in teaching experiments,promote concept understanding,and carry out review teaching and other advantages.However,it has become a difficult problem for teachers on how to choose suitable animation resources for teaching,how to apply animation to chemistry classes,and how to acquire the teaching animation resources in chemistry.This study attempts to solve these problems faced by teachers by consulting a large number of relevant domestic and foreign literature and materials on teaching of animation.Beyond that,practical teaching was launched in four counties in Hainan and the curriculum in teaching of animation was published in websites.This paper consists of five parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly discusses the research in terms of background,significance,ideas and methods.The second part is the overview of animation in chemistry,mainly on its research status both at home and abroad,its connotation and its function,as well as its theoretical basis of application.The third part mainly goes into details about the selection and the creation of animation in teaching of chemistry,including the methods for acquisition of animation in chemistry,the principles of its selection and its creative works,and its analysis of results of the questionnaire.The fourth part — "Air Is a Precious Resource" case has been reported — illustrates the strategies of implementing teaching of animation in chemistry in secondary school.In addition,it analyzes the limitations of application and the counter-measures.The fifth part is the conclusion and the prospect.Innovation:1.Research blank areas,at present,Chinese scholars have not introduced animation into chemistry classroom in middle school.2.Accords with the needs of the times,this research was presented which based on the great development of information technology,and the replacement stage on traditional education and new education.3.Matches students' interests,can attract students' attention in the first time.4.Developing curriculum resources can improve teachers' research ability,optimize the structure of ontology knowledge,update knowledge system,enhance the sense of cooperation,change teachers' roles and work style.
