Theme teaching has the characteristics of dynamic generation of knowledge, integration of resource development, theme teaching design, subject integration and problem driving. The implementation of theme teaching can integrate a variety of resources, enable students to consciously take the initiative to adopt a reasonable way of thinking,so as to build a systematic core knowledge of chemistry,Develop their chemical core literacy. The author of the "4 + x" theme teaching mode was studied, and in the process of teaching practice and improvement, obtained some experience, expect to have a certain reference value for middle school chemistry teaching.Through checking the related literature, the author analyzed the research status of "theme teaching" at home and abroad, and then carried out a comprehensive discussion and research based on constructivism teaching theory, mastery learning theory, subjectivity teaching theory and humanism theory. On this basis, the author studied the curriculum standard of Chemistry for senior high school(2017 Edition)and the chemistry(Compulsory)for senior high school(2019 Edition)of Luke edition, analyzed the presentation mode and characteristics of theme teaching, and then put forward the implementation strategy of "4+x" theme teaching mode in the front, middle and back three stages from the perspective of teachers and students respectively. For teachers, specifically, clear the overall design ideas in the early stage;prepare students' autonomous learning guidance paper in the middle stage;reflect and modify in the later stage. For students, preview and write questions on themselves in the early stage;efficiently contribute themselves on class in the middle stage;complete the related exercises in the later stage.Starting from "inorganic compounds" and "organic compounds" in the compulsory stage, the author selected two topics of "sulfur conversion sulfuric acid" and "the simplest organic compound methane",and then applied the implementation strategy of "4+x" theme teaching model to the specific classroom teaching design, forming the teaching design of "exploration of cloisonne and Qingming Riverside craft" and "methane and the origin of life".In the process of design and implementation, the author formulated the teaching process of a class as "learning task, situational materials, problem setting,teacher-student interaction",namely "4";in addition, the teaching process also includes "literacy goal",namely "x",which refers to the level of core literacy of chemical disciplines achieved through students' dominant activities in the course.Among them, the first four are dominant in learning activities, while the latter is relatively recessive."4+x" is related to each other,"learning task" is the motivation,"situational material" is the carrier, and "problem setting" is the driving force. In the collaborative process of "teacher-student interaction",the chemistry content and core literacy are integrated to achieve the "literacy goal" and comprehensively improve their learning ability. In the process of analyzing the teaching practice, the author sorted out the relevant information by sending out questionnaires, recording teachers' comments, visiting students and other ways to understand the students' feelings and ideas in the classroom. It is found that the "4 +x" theme mode can really improve the students' enthusiasm and participation;enable students to actively complete the corresponding learning tasks, make students consciously adopt a reasonable way of thinking,so as to construct systematic chemistry core knowledge vividly and flexibly, and improve students' comprehensive quality and intelligence level, which is positive for the development of students' subject literacy.
