The geography curriculum standard for senior high school(2017)(hereinafter referred to as the new curriculum standard)puts forward the requirements for teaching work,emphasizing the attention to the characteristics and differences of students,so that students can pay full attention to it.Therefore,the research and practical application of learning style is very important.Based on Reid’s learning style theory,this paper mainly discusses how to carry out geography teaching according to students’ learning differences under the guidance of geography core literacy education policy and the basic idea of the new curriculum reform.Using the methods of questionnaire survey and action research,Taking the second grade students and geography teachers of Weihai No.2 Middle School as the research object,and studies the students and teachers who choose geography in the second grade of Weihai No.2 Middle School.Through the analysis of the questionnaire survey,the following conclusions are drawn: Senior High School Students’ geography learning styles are mainly auditory,tactile and kinesthetic.From the perspective of social tendency,it is mainly group type.Through the comparison of different genders,it is found that the proportion of male students acquiring geographical knowledge through kinesthetic is high.In terms of performance,the proportion of auditory type is the largest for students with scores below 50,and the proportion of tactile type is the largest for students with scores above80.Through the analysis of the results of all the geography teachers in Weihai No.2Middle School,it can be concluded that: at present,senior high school geography teachers have some understanding of the theory,but in the actual geography teaching,the ability to teach students in accordance with their aptitude is lacking.Through the analysis and summary of the survey results,puts forward teaching strategies based on the differences of students’ geographical learning styles,which mainly include teachers’ continuous improvement of professional literacy,strengthening the study of learning style theory and applying them to geography teaching practice,understanding the learning styles of students,adopting teaching matching strategies and intentional mismatching strategies,Teachers should help students identify and optimize their own good perception channels and improve their knowledge acquisition ability.In addition,geography teachers should make full use of all kinds of teaching resources and curriculum resources to create a geography teaching environment that matches the learning style of high school students.Based on the above strategies,selection of high school geography textbook "differences in natural environment" as a case for teaching design,and proves the effectiveness of the strategy from the perspective of teaching practice.Finally,in the analysis of the research results and put forward teaching strategies at the same time,pointed out the shortcomings and prospects.In general,the results of this study have great guiding significance for senior high school geography teachers’ teaching work.Teachers can design a scientific learning style scale to understand students’ geography learning style,and take corresponding teaching strategies,so as to meet the needs of students with different learning styles.To help teachers implement the educational concept of teaching according to their aptitude,pay attention to the differences of students,improve the core quality of geography and promote the development of each student;It can also help students understand their own geography learning style,find a most effective geography learning method,improve the efficiency of geography learning.
