Research On The Geography Teaching Strategy Of Nongeography Elective Classes Based On The Start-style Goal Teaching Method

The geography academic qualification test is an important test in geography teaching in middle schools.However,since the implementation of the new college entrance examination in Guizhou,there are some problems that cannot be ignored in the teaching methods,cultivation concepts,management methods,and attitudes of teachers and students in geography teaching in non geography elective classes.Therefore,from the perspective of geography learning in non geography elective classes,exploring the degree of difficulty in learning,the key and difficult points of teaching,the choice of curriculum topics,and the design of teaching issues has become a major task for front-line geography teachers.This article first searches and sorts out the literature on today’s teaching methods,and draws a conclusion that there are many theories related to the starting target teaching method,but few geographical practices.This provides a research direction for this article: related research on the starting target teaching method and high school geography teaching.Secondly,a survey was conducted on the learning situation of students in non geographical selective examination classes,the teaching situation of teachers to students,and the use of the starter target teaching method in the No.1 Middle School in Dafang County,Guizhou Province.It was found that there were problems in both student learning and teacher teaching in non geographical selective examination classes,as well as the relatively low use of the starter target teaching method in such class teaching,and the corresponding reasons,This paper proposes some teaching strategies for using the starting target teaching method in geography teaching in non geography elective classes.Finally,select appropriate teaching content to write teaching designs and carry out teaching activities for students in non geographical elective classes.The main research conclusions are as follows:(1)Geography teaching in non geography elective classes is often presented in the traditional way of teachers explaining and students listening.Most teachers have geography courses in other classes,making it difficult to prepare teaching questions and situational teaching that match the learning situation of the class for non geography elective classes alone.Schools have a one-sided understanding of geography teaching in non geography elective classes,resulting in lower class hours than elective classes.At the student level,most of the points of interest in geography courses lie in simple geographical knowledge related to life,while geographical knowledge related to principles or image issues is basically not interested,and the learning motivation is general.(2)Starting target teaching is a problem-oriented teaching method that awakens students’ interest in learning,and students actively participate in and complete learning tasks.It plays a certain role in solving problems such as less class hours,high learning enthusiasm,and busy teachers in non geographical elective classes.(3)The teaching example of using the carefully designed startup target teaching method in geography teaching in non geography teaching classes has achieved good results in the No.1 Middle School in Da fang County,Guizhou Province.The students’ learning enthusiasm has been effectively improved,their learning self-confidence has been enhanced,their learning autonomy has been enhanced,and their attitude towards geography has been significantly changed.This can improve the students’ geographical discipline literacy and the passing rate of the geography academic level examination.To sum up,the following teaching suggestions are proposed: as teaching knowledge points in the new geography textbooks increase,teachers should update teaching methods,enhance students’ interest in geography learning,guide students to actively participate in learning,and complete teaching;In the process of problem design and situational teaching,students’ autonomous exploration should not be a mere formality,and teachers should play a guiding role in order to deliver the classroom to students in an orderly manner.
