Due to many factors, the incidence of cancer in my country is increasing, and the number of cancer patients is also increasing year by year.According to the latest estimates released by the International Agency for Research on Cancer of the World Health Organization in early 2021,there will be 4.57 million new cancers in China in 2020.Even if each cancer patient is cared for by a family member,my country will add more than 4 million cancer patients' family members every year. However,in the process of long-term care of cancer patients, the families of cancer patients will fall into anxiety and anxiety due to various factors such as high treatment costs, worries about treatment effects, lack of nursing experience, and lack of self-identity.For most family members of cancer patients, these psychological pressures will cause them to have no time to take care of their physical and mental health. Therefore,it is particularly necessary to seek appropriate decompression methods for alleviating the psychological pressure of the families of cancer patients. This study takes the social support theory as the perspective, mainly adopts the literature research method and semi-structured interview method, and selects X hospital as the survey field.First, the pressure perception scale(CPSS-14)translated and revised by Professor Yang Yanzhong was used to obtain the family members of 34 cancer patients Understand their psychological pressure status and find that they do have different degrees of psychological pressure.Secondly,on the basis of fully respecting the wishes of the families of cancer patients,we conducted semi-structured interviews with 22 families of cancer patients.Through the interviews, the author found that the psychological pressure of the families of cancer patients was specifically manifested in the following: overburden of care, treatment costs and income and expenditure of the family Imbalances, lack of care skills, not knowing whether they can meet the needs of family members suffering from cancer, and seeing a doctor under the new crown pneumonia epidemic is even more difficult. The reason is that because the family members of cancer patients spend a lot of time and energy in the care process, they are out of touch with the outside society, and cannot obtain effective formal and informal social support in time to deal with this major negative event of cancer. Therefore, after selecting suitable service targets, the author adopts casework method and crisis intervention mode to achieve the purpose of alleviating their psychological pressure by strengthening or enriching the client's relative support, peer support, support of the same group and community support.Through the analysis and summary of the social work practice process, this research has reached two conclusions : First, the families of cancer patients have the need to relieve psychological pressure;second, from the perspective of social support, enriching the social support network of cancer patients' families can play a role in alleviating psychological pressure.
