A Study On The Behaviors And Attitudes Of Family Members In Informing Cancer Patients About Their Illness

At present,cancer has become an important factor in the death of human beings.Although medicine is progressing and developing constantly,the cure rate of cancer is difficult and many people avoid the word "cancer".In the field of medicine,medical personnel focus on the physiological diseases of patients while ignoring the psychological and social needs Medical service needs to transform from traditional medical model to "body-mind-community" model.This research adopts semi-structured interviews,and use a generic method is analyzed,from the perspective of the ethical principle of benefit without harm and the model of body-mind-society-spiritual whole-person care,in combing the domestic and foreign about the behavior of the family members to inform patients of cancer and the attitude of the literature,based on the selection of Shenzhen R hospital oncology 13 cases of cancer patients' families as object of interview,semi-structured interviews,finally to obtain data collection and analysis.Ten cancer patients were informed of their true conditions,and the reasons were patients' initiative to inform,doctors' initiative to inform and their families' initiative to inform.One cancer patient was partially informed of the true condition,and two cancer patients were not informed of the true condition.Eight family members of the patients advocated the true condition of the patients,and five family members did not agree with the true condition of the cancer patients.The results show that it is feasible to tell the truth about the disease,and how to tell the truth is the key content of the disease information.This article from the perspective of medical social work to study the family was told that behaviour and attitude,insight into the different family background cancer disease notifies the attitude of individual differences and the reasons behind,try to put forward under the principle of benefit without injury ethics of medical social work in the service intervention of opinion and the suggestion,to the greatest extent to protect the interests of cancer patients.
