The development of labor education in rural schools in the new era is a requirement for the development of people in an all-round way,which helps to achieve educational equity,and it is a breakthrough for rural revitalization.For rural students in the senior high school stage,labor education prepares them for their future career planning,advancement and employment,and to enter the society.This study comprehensively uses the literature method,questionnaire survey method and interview method to investigate and study the current situation of labor education in two rural senior high schools in Shantou City,Guangdong Province,in order to discover the problems existing in rural senior high school labor education,and analyze the problems in depth.The reason is to explore relevant improvement strategies on this basis,and explore the rural high school labor education model with regional characteristics.This research narrates the survey results of the status of labor education in rural senior high schools from the three levels of students,teachers,and school administrators and makes corresponding analysis.The survey results show that rural senior high school labor education has achieved certain results.Rural senior high school students develop good working habits and have a high degree of participation in daily labor.Teachers have a good foundation in labor knowledge and generally support the development of school labor education.School administrators can recognize the importance of labor education,have a basic plan for labor education,and can provide relevant labor education courses,so that the daily work of the school is carried out in an orderly manner.But at the same time,students' participation in social practice activities is singular,social service awareness is not strong,and labor values need to be strengthened;teachers are not familiar with policy documents,subject penetration labor education awareness is not strong,and professional capabilities are lacking;school labor education operation mechanism is still not perfect and lacks Prominent issues such as resource security.Through analysis,it is found that the influence of traditional cultural concepts is deep-rooted,labor education resources are relatively scarce,the lack of safety guarantee mechanism,campus culture construction ignores the promotion of labor culture,and the content and form of school labor education are relatively backward are the main causes of labor education problems in rural high schools.Aiming at the problems of labor education in rural senior high schools,suggestions for improving strategies from four aspects are put forward.Do a good job of government labor education and security.Attach importance to the role of family demonstration and guidance,and strengthen home-school coordination.Play the leading role of school labor education.Create a social atmosphere that loves labor and share educational resources.
