With the development of the next-generation information technology as well as the popularization of mobile electronic devices,technology is evolving rapidly,which promotes reforms and changes in education.Under such conditions,mobile learning came into being.It aroused wide attention in the field of education,and many academic researches have been conducted.“National Education and Reform Mid-and Long-term Planning Outline(2011-2020)”noted that the quality of higher education is to determine the future of the national talent strategy.When evaluating the quality of higher education,the most frequently used methods were school-centered before the 1990 s,while it gradually converted into student-centered since then.The key to the study of higher education quality is to focus on the learning quality of college students,which is reflected in the learning achievements.What is the current state of college students' mobile learning? How does mobile learning affect their learning achievements? And how can we promote their learning achievements? The study is consistent with the evolving of society,and it reflects on current higher education,provides suggestions for further improvement.It contains both theoretical and practical significance.This study was carried out by combining the present status of mobile learning and started with the inherent traits of mobile learning.This is a time-flexible way of learning where college students take up a huge portion of the user communities.It's reasonable and appropriate to conduct the survey by questionnaires to gain insights on how it works when college students study with the help of mobile devices.Subsequently,we analyzed the effect of mobile learning on their learning achievements,and discussed the issues that emerged in the process of mobile learning.Targeted advice is also given in this paper.Specifically,we first set forth the concepts and theories concerning mobile learning and learning achievements,illustrate the research background and status overseas and domestically.This paper also showed how we compiled the scale and questionnaire based on the existing scale and actual investigation.Secondly,we chose six universities in Jiangsu Province as our sample.With these data,we conducted the component analysis,descriptive statistical analysis,as well as T-test,analysis of variance,correlation analysis as well as regression analysis.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)There exists no significant difference in the learning achievements of mobile learning between college students of different genders.While the difference is significant when it comes to students of different majors and grades.(2)Mobile learning has implications for better learning achievements.The duration and richness of mobile learning have the ability to enhance learning achievements.Learning achievements has three main components,which are knowledge learning,skill learning,and attitude learning.Mobile learning impacts the three dimensions respectively with differing degrees of influence where attitude learning has lower learning achievements than knowledge learning and skill learning.Finally,we put forward strategies and suggestions to enhance the learning achievements of college students who participate in mobile learning.Suggestions include aspects of government and society,schools and teachers,resources and technology,as well as college students themselves.
