The study of vernacular geography plays an important role in the cultivation of students' core literacy in geography and so on,and is a new requirement put forward in the new curriculum standards for high school.In order to further understand the research progress and theoretical achievements of vernacular geography,the literature analysis method was used to analyze the current situation and achievements of vernacular geography education research at home and abroad,to determine the research direction of this paper,and to lay the theoretical foundation and basis for this research.In response to the research direction,a survey was conducted on high school teachers and students in Yantai City using questionnaires,and statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS software to clarify the current situation of the integration of local geography curriculum resources in Yantai City and the problems in its application in teaching.The statistical analysis of teachers' questionnaire data shows that most teachers support the use of local geography curriculum resources in high school geography teaching,and think that the use of local geography curriculum resources in teaching can have a better teaching effect,but most teachers have a shallow understanding of local geography resources in Yantai,and they put less effort into the integration of local geography resources,and they do not do enough in using local geography curriculum resources in teaching.However,most teachers have a shallow understanding of the local geography resources in Yantai,and they put less effort in integrating the local geography resources,and do not do well in using the local geography curriculum for teaching.The analysis of the students' questionnaires shows that most of the students have a low level of knowledge about the local geography in Yantai,but they are interested in the local geography resources in Yantai,and they think that using the local geography curriculum resources can help promote geography learning,and they hope that they can do more geography practice activities based on them.In response to the current situation that teachers in Yantai City know less about the vernacular geography resources,the way of collecting and organizing the vernacular geography resources is proposed,and the vernacular geography resources in Yantai City are organized according to the nature of the resources.In response to the situation that most teachers in Yantai lack the time and energy to organize the native geography resources,the system theory is used as the guiding idea to construct the idea of integrating the native geography curriculum resources in Yantai based on the content of high school textbooks as the framework,the high school geography curriculum standards as the requirements,and the teaching sessions and students' knowledge development levels,based on establishing the connection between the native geography resources in Yantai and the high school geography curriculum and proposing the corresponding application,establish the connection between Yantai's local geography resources and the high school geography curriculum and put forward corresponding application suggestions.Finally,in view of the relatively single form of teaching application,the teaching principles,application countermeasures,teaching evaluation indexes and methods that should be followed by the native geography curriculum resources in high school teaching are proposed based on the theory of educational principles,constructivism theory and paradigm teaching theory,and two specific cases are designed on the basis of the given strategies-The case study of "Selection of Agricultural Location Factors" and the case study of "Kunbeishan National Forest Park" provide teachers with some reference and guidelines for teaching geography with local geography curriculum resources.
