Research On UBD Mode In Political Theory Course Teaching In Junior High School

UBD Mode(Understanding by Design),also called “reverse design”,emphasizes the first step of study is comprehension and pays more attention to develop the comprehensive abilities of profoundly comprehension and backward thinking.As the core conception of subject competences was announced by government,the focal point of political theory courses teaching in middle school has change to develop the abilities of knowledge comprehension and transfer,which happens to hold the same idea of UBD Mode.In order to explore how to effectively apply UBD Mode to the political theory courses in middle school,this paper will study how it works and teaching technology by adopting literature study and questionnaire survey and comparative study.UBD Mode helps the Political theory courses adapt to the new course reform,acclimatizes school to training target of the core conception of subject competences and follows the Principle of multi-evaluation in political theory courses of middle school,which makes UBD Mode have the advantage to apply to the Political theory courses in middle school.Due to satisfy with the demand of unit teaching of Political in middle school and professional Politics teachers,it is available that we apply UBD Mode to Political theory courses in middle school.Using “reverse design” to instruct the teaching of Political theory courses in middle school by confirming the expected result and appropriate evaluation evidence,and designing teaching activities,which successfully reverses the traditional courses.On the other hand,“reverse design” provides students with a new thinking method by forcing student answer the questions,inspiring student with learning,and also organizing the teaching around key issues,and has students positively and voluntarily to explore and freely get creative.According to the result of this study,UBD Mode lets students specify what learning tasks they have and improves their abilities of knowledge comprehension and transfer.In view of this,the professional Politics teachers are supposed to understand UBD Mode and buy relative books to instruct work in new era.Besides,schools also should supply comfortable environment for teacher to learn and apply UBD Mode,which improves the effectiveness of ideological and political classroom teaching,and cultivates the core literacy of students in middle school.
