With the increase of the proportion of the elderly population,the aging degree of China's population is deepening.Due to the weakening of the function of family care and the lack of community pension,institutional pension has gradually become an important choice for some elderly people to spend their old age peacefully by virtue of its professional and refined service advantages.However,in institutions,some elderly people have mental health problems such as low sense of self-efficacy and loss of confidence in life due to multiple factors such as individual aging,absence of children,limitations of institutions and weak social and national support system.Generally speaking,the older people with higher self-efficacy are more confident in themselves and have a more positive attitude towards life.The elderly with lower sense of self-efficacy have poor selfconcept,increased sense of powerlessness,negative attitude towards life and other problems.Therefore,the adoption of scientific methods to help the elderly in pension institutions to solve these problems will undoubtedly help to improve their confidence in overcoming difficulties and better adapt to the life in pension institutions.This paper is mainly based on the author's social work practice in S pension institution in Q city.First of all,through interviews and questionnaires,combined with the system theory,this paper analyzes the basic situation of the elderly in S institution,the status quo of the level of self-efficacy and the reasons.Second,workers mainly according to the theory of self-efficacy,social support theory,based on the theory of energized to open the "pleasure with the sunset" supporting group,group activities mainly to arouse positive emotions,the force of example,encourage skills,increase the experience of success as the theme of the intervention,to promote team members to achieve the goal of each specific group self-efficacy of ascension.Finally,through the scale test and the feedback of the group members' subjective feelings,it is found that the self-efficacy of the group members has been improved to a certain extent,and the group work is quite effective.This group work intervention also has some deficiencies,for example,in the process of the activity,there are some problems,such as neglecting the group goals,failing to fully tap the advantages and potential of team members,insufficient intervention in the outside environment of the group,and difficult to maintain the long-term effects of group activities.The workers also reflect on this and give corresponding solutions and suggestions,including comprehensive use of a variety of social work methods,view team members from the perspective of advantages,mobilize all aspects of strength to strengthen the support for the elderly and establish a long-term mechanism for the effect of team work,so as to better provide services for the elderly.
