Expository Teaching is a crucial part of Chinese Teaching on account of its necessity in the cultivation of students’ Chinese Key Competences.Deep Learning,as a learning mode needed for the development of the future society,provides a new perspective for Expository Teaching in junior high schools.Carrying out In-depth Expository Teaching in junior middle schools will lay a profound foundation for the development of the Chinese Key Competences and the implementation of unified compilation of the textbook as well as the realization of the teaching values.Since the New Curriculum Reform,the research of expository teaching and learning have made some achievements.However,there are some imperfections.Through the investigations and classroom observations,it is found that most students can master the knowledge in expository learning while some students are still having the problems such as lacking of effort in learning,low level of reading ability,poor comprehensive ability and the translation ability.In expository teaching,most teachers can teach the students in a student-centered way according to literary forms,emphasize the importance of reading competences.However,some teachers do focus more on the basic level of Chinese and thus lack of certain thinking training.The teaching method mainly focuses on telling the story while ignoring students’ learning activities to some extent.Since lacking of flexible teaching evaluation,teaching strategies are more based on the examination which leads to the unbalanced knowledge structure.At the same time,due to the abstractness of the expository texts and the need of being enriched for the teaching contents based on the new curriculum standards,the deep learning of expository text of junior middle school students is also affected.In view of this,in order to promote junior high school expository learning more effectively from incomprehension learning to deep learning,according to the relevant theories and some famous teachers’ cases,some suggestions,based on the in-depth study of the connotation and characteristics of the expository texts in junior high school,are put forward for the high school students who has in-depth learning problems.First,arouse students’ interest in reading expository text and increase their learning input.Second,to interpret the text closely with the stylistic features of the expository text,students can practice higher-order thinking in the in-depth text analysis.Thirdly,enrich the expository teaching content to improve students’ knowledge structure of expository text.Last but not the least,focus on Students’ Knowledge Transfer Ability and helping students to solve the real problems in students’ life.To explore the deep learning of expository texts in junior middle school is of great significance to deepen the teaching reform of expository texts in junior middle school,improve teaching efficiency,and implement students’ Chinese Comprehension ability.
