The era of the gradual rise of new public management theoryr,economy,efficiency and efficiency have gradually become the work objectives of public sector managers.This reform applies the management theories and methods once applied to business to the public sector,and improves the quality of public management and public services through the market competition mechanism.In order to revitalize the human resources of the public sector and improve the work efficiency of the Department,the introduction and continuous improvement of performance management has promoted the reform process of the public sector from the management concept to the new public management concept.Performance management has not only become a means for enterprises to manage employees,but also gradually entered the government and other public departments as one of the management methods to evaluate civil servants and staff of enterprises and institutions.The performance management of public sector is a new management mode in the management mode of public sector,which aims to realize the economy,efficiency,income and fair management of public sector.As a non-profit organization in the public sector,the effective use of performance management in public schools is of great significance to improve the management efficiency of public schools,guide and help improve the work expectations and educational awareness of public school teachers.Based on Peter F.Drucker’s target management theory,Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory and Adams’s equity theory,this paper takes the public schools in the stage of compulsory education in S County as the research object,interviews and investigates the public school teachers through the method of unstructured interview,and then collects,arranges and analyzes the interview contents,Summarize the problems existing in the performance management of public school teachers in the stage of compulsory education.After interviewing with the relevant personnel of the personnel department of the education and Sports Bureau,combined with the theoretical basis and actual situation of performance management,deeply analyze theCauses of these problems.Finally,the paper puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for the problems existing in the performance management of public school teachers in the stage of compulsory education,such as increasing the managers’ awareness of performance management,enhancing the teachers’ awareness of being assessed,establishing and perfecting the school teachers’performance management organization system Reasonable selection of teachers’performance appraisal methods,scientific teachers’ performance appraisal indicators,incentive mechanism for diversified performance appraisal results and feedback mechanism for normalized performance appraisal results will become effective methods to solve or alleviate the problems of teachers’ performance management in public schools in the stage of compulsory education.
