Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is a rare disease, is an X-linked recessive lethal myopathy, there is no specific treatment. DMD children with age, the gradual loss of walking ability, usually in the 20-year-old died of heart and lung failure. Their family caregivers face the uncertainty of the disease in children, not only to bear the heavy economic pressure, but also to bear long-term care caused by the physical stress of their disease, heart guilt, anxiety, anxiety and other psychological pressure, interpersonal obstruction and social disregard, discriminatory vision, etc., which are the performance of the pressure response. Long-term care of the pressure can easily lead to caregivers emotional instability, physical loss, social constraints, etc., and family caregivers are the only children with DMD rely on their physical and psychological state is directly related to the level of daily care of children. Therefore, relieving the pressure of family caregivers in children with DMD is very necessary.This study was designed to intervene the stress of family caregivers in children with DMD. It was supported by the theory of stress and coping theory. The main research methods were the literature research and field observation. The family caregivers of DMD children Stress analysis and intervention. The author followed the social work ethic code and used social work methods and skills to provide services for family caregivers of children with DMD and used the Zarit Caregiver Burden Interview (ZBI),Self-reporting Inventory (SCL-90), Trait Coping Style Questionnaire (TCSQ) and Perceived Social Support Scale (PSSS) scales were used to measure caregiver burden, stress response, coping style, and social support. Based on the results of the first interview, observation and scale measurement, the author analyzes the problems and needs assessment, and divides the interventional process of family caregivers of DMD into five stages:providing emotional support, broadening the coping style of stress, Improve cognitive evaluation and build a social support network, and ultimately promote the physical, psychological and social stress relief.This paper expounds the effect of social work methods and skills on the pressure of family caregivers in children with DMD with the theory of stress and coping system as the theoretical support. After analyzing and finishing the case service process, and post-test of the family-caregiver's stress-related scale of DMD, it shows that the comprehensive improvement of coping style, cognitive evaluation and social support can alleviate the caregiver's process In the physical, psychological and social pressures. The researchers reviewed the ethical and practical practices in the service process and further summarized the practical application of the stress and coping theory system model in the stress of family caregivers in DMD children and put forward feasible suggestions for this group, Is rare children and their families, to provide more appropriate services.
