Research On Junior Middle School Physics Teaching Practice Under STEM Education Concept

At present,in the compulsory education,core literacy has become one of the teaching objectives of the new curriculum reform,but at the present stage in the compulsory education,teaching is more theoretical,and in the formulation of teaching objectives,the main goal is to improve students' academic performance,it's bad for the liberal education to ignore the core values of the students.In recent years,the application of STEM ideas in education has been more and more affirmative,the scope of application is also constantly promoted.The introduction of STEM concept into physics teaching practice in junior middle school is beneficial to the cultivation of outstanding scientific and technological talents for the country and the promotion of social progress.Through literature research,the author summarizes the concept and characteristics of stem education concept.Stem education concept highlights the application of multi-disciplinary integration in education.It is a comprehensive and interdisciplinary education concept,an idea that guides stem teaching and learning by integrating the contents of science,technology,engineering and mathematics,and includes the following characteristics:interdisciplinary,experiential,design,interesting,situational artistry.In order to ensure the smooth progress of the teaching process,we also need to follow the following principles:relevance principle,openness principle,innovation principle,situational principle,and the principle of the unity of theory and practice.At the same time,the author also found that stem education idea is embodied in constructivism teaching idea and humanistic teaching theory.Some researchers have proposed that stem education is the same as cognitive science:learning is an active construction process,not a passive acceptance process;Motivation and belief are also very important in the process of cognition;Social interaction is the basis of cognitive development;Knowledge,strategies and expertise are situational.Humanism emphasizes learning meaningful knowledge,and the knowledge studied by stem education itself is meaningful knowledge.Secondly,the author also analyzes the feasibility of applying stem education concept to junior middle school physics teaching practice.From the analysis,stem education concept can help students learn interdisciplinary knowledge,improve students' ability to contact and deal with problems,and promote the combination of social life and classroom.Stem refers to the combination of science,technology,engineering and mathematics.From such a teaching mode,science includes physics,and physics curriculum is also an important knowledge to promote the development of science.After consulting some materials,the author found a teaching mode suitable for stem education concept:"6e" teaching mode.The teaching model is divided into six steps:introduction,exploration,interpretation,engineering,enrichment and evaluation."Introduction" emphasizes situational introduction,which is consistent with one of the characteristics of stem education concept;"Exploration" and "explanation" are students' exploration and summary according to the existing knowledge,which reflects the emphasis of constructivism teaching concept-learning is an active construction process;"Engineering" requires students to operate by themselves and improve in the process of operation;The "enrichment" link is to let students find their own shortcomings in the process of hands-on operation,so as to expand their knowledge;"Evaluation" is the last link,which can encourage students to reflect on the inquiry process.In addition,the author also interprets the teaching objectives of junior middle school physics curriculum and the curriculum standards of related topics.Find the relevant materials of stem education concept contained in it.For example,in the subject of making simple densitometer,students are required to look for experimental equipment from daily life through careful observation of life,make it by themselves,and deepen the understanding of knowledge in the process,that is,they pay attention to the exploration of scientific(s)knowledge and help students improve their mathematical(m)calculation skills,At the same time,it also cultivates students' Technology(T)and Engineering(E).The author selects three topics in daily teaching for analysis and research,and designs the corresponding teaching design through the "6e" teaching mode.Combined with the characteristics and learning situation of physics,the author finds that applying stem education concept to daily teaching can not only enhance students' interest in learning physics knowledge,but also improve students' innovation ability and technical ability,and strengthen their way of thinking.Then,the author investigates the students' learning situation by means of questionnaire,and investigates the idea of this teaching method.From the survey results,it can be found that most students agree with this teaching method.Finally,the author summarizes and prospects the whole research process of this topic,hoping that more educators can continue to explore practice and provide more new ideas for the educational practice of integrating stem concept.
