The 21 st century is an era of technological innovation.In order to build a strong country of socialist modernization,we must put scientific and technological innovation at the core of development,and urgently need a group of comprehensive and innovative talents with scientific literacy,engineering technology and practical ability.The phenomenon of the traditional fractional theory of education often neglects the training of the above-mentioned talents,which is the problem to be solved urgently.Stem(Science,Technology,Engineering Engineering,Mathematics)education in foreign countries is just a kind of educational thought that emphasizes scientific accomplishment,technical ability and practical application,and it is becoming more and more popular in the world.Therefore,integrating the idea of STEM education into physics teaching in senior high school provides a new way for China’s education reform and a new idea for promoting the cultivation of comprehensive and innovative talents.This research is divided into four parts.The first part summarizes the emergence and development of STEM education,the status quo of STEM education and high school physics teaching,and the inspiration of foreign STEM education to our physics teaching Through the method of Investigation and analysis,this paper probes into the current situation of our country’s high school physics teaching permeating STEM education idea and the teachers’ viewpoint of introducing STEM education idea into the classroom through the form of questionnaires and interviews to the students and teachers respectively,this paper points out the problems existing in STEM education and high school physics teaching in China,and puts forward the research direction of integrating STEM education idea with high school physics teaching design.The second part defines the concepts of STEM education and physics teaching design and explores the pedagogy and psychology theories related to the integration of STEM education and physics teaching in Senior High School.In the third part,based on the characteristics of STEM education and the requirements of curriculum standards,with the goal of cultivating students’ STEM literacy and core literacy,the author makes an in-depth analysis of each element of teaching design,this paper puts forward the basic principles of high school physics teaching design based on the idea of STEM education,constructs the STEM teaching mode which is suitable for high school physics teaching,and takes the electricity meter refitting section as an example to design the teaching design following this mode.The fourth part is based on the STEM education idea concrete teaching implementation and the appraisal launches.The teaching design of electricity meter refitting based on STEM education idea is applied to classroom teaching practice in senior middle school by practice research method,and the teaching effect is analyzed and evaluated.The results show that the students who adopt the new teaching design have a higher degree of completion in the experimental investigation than the students who adopt the routine teaching The training of scientific thinking and scientific inquiry is better than that of routine teaching,which shows that the new teaching design has a positive effect on the cultivation of students’ STEM literacy and core literacy.
