Research On The "empty Nest" Problem And Countermeasures Of Rural Primary Schools In The Context Of Rural Revitalization

The 19th CPC National Congress put forward the rural revitalization strategy.In this context,to change the backward situation of rural education and revitalize rural education has become an inevitable requirement for the development of rural education in the new era.In recent years,many national policies were put forward to support the development of rural education,and the level of running schools in rural areas has been constantly improved,But there are still obvious deficiencies compared with urban schools.Especially with the acceleration of urbanization,rural students flock to urban schools in pursuit of quality educational resources,This has led to a rapid decrease in the amount of students of rural schools,resulting in the phenomenon of "empty-nest",which has brought a lot of negative impacts to rural education.Progress in rural education is extremely important to the revitalization of rural areas.Under the background of rural revitalization,in-depth understanding and effective response to the "empty nest" problem in rural primary and secondary schools is the key to promote the long-term development of rural schools and improve the overall quality of compulsory education in China.This paper investigated the current situation of “empty nest” in five rural primary schools of G county,Gansu province,using the research methods of literature,interview,questionnaire and field observation.It is found that the current "empty nest" problem of rural primary schools is mainly reflected in the massive loss of students,the imbalance of teachers' structure and a large number of idle school equipment.Combined with the survey results,this paper analyzes the causes of the "empty-nest" problem in rural primary schools from the four levels of government,school,society and family.Finally,under the background of rural revitalization,corresponding countermeasures were proposed for both "empty nest" schools and non "empty nest" schools in rural areas.it is expected to effectively alleviate the "empty nest" phenomenon of rural primary schools,to improve the quality of education in rural schools and to revitalize the rural education.
