Logical reasoning ability and intuitive imagination ability have always been the basic abilities of mathematics,and are now proposed as the core literacy of mathematics.They are not only the inheritance of history,but also reflect the characteristics of the times,aiming to cultivate people who are fully developed.Previous studies have mostly focused on the connotation,evaluation,and teaching of a certain kind of one ability,but the development of students' ability is not isolated,they are connected with each other.In this paper,by consulting related literature,the "Senior Two Students' Logical Reasoning Ability and Intuitive Imagination Ability Test Paper" is used to test a high school student in Yancheng City,and the relationship between these two abilities is revealed through data analysis,and teaching strategies are proposed on this basic advice.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)The logical reasoning ability of high school students is at an intermediate level,the inductive reasoning ability needs to be strengthened,and the deductive reasoning ability is well developed;the logical reasoning ability has significant differences in arts and science,and the science students develop better than the liberal arts students;there is no significant difference in logical reasoning ability between different genders.(2)The development of intuitive imagination ability of high school students is not ideal.The problem of geometric intuition ability and the figure exploration in space imagination ability are generally poor;the intuitive imagination ability has significant differences in arts and science,and science students develop better than liberal arts students.Students of different gender have significant differences in visual imagination ability,and boys develop better than girls.(3)All dimensions of logical reasoning ability of high school students and all dimensions of intuitive imagination ability show a positive correlation.(4)Logical reasoning ability,intuitive imagination ability and mathematics academic performance are significantly positively correlated.(5)Put forward several teaching suggestions based on the research results: attach importance to inductive reasoning and enrich reasoning methods;strengthen situation creation and improve the level of reasoning;focus on model teaching and accumulate geometric images;use information technology to strengthen geometric intuition;logical reasoning and intuitive imagination teaching.
