As an interdisciplinary education form,STEM education emphasizes the cultivation of students' comprehensive qualities such as innovation ability and scientific literacy.In actual teaching,it links abstract knowledge with real life,allowing students to master knowledge through project practice.This kind of educational concept is consistent with the training goals of artificial intelligence,and it also helps students understand artificial intelligence knowledge in a simple way.In view of this,this research attempts to integrate STEM education concepts with artificial intelligence curriculum teaching,using constructivism,learning by doing and engineering design as the theoretical basis,project-based learning and engineering design processes as the implementation path,and design research as the methodological guidance.Construct a STEM-based teaching model of artificial intelligence curriculum in primary school,to provide a new path for artificial intelligence curriculum teaching practice.In order to obtain a stable and effective STEM-based artificial intelligence teaching model,this research will conduct research and explain the results from three stages: prototype construction,practice revision and effect verification.The first stage: prototype construction,through combing the related literature of STEM education and artificial intelligence courses,put forward five principles to be followed in the design of STEM-based teaching models.Based on the principles and the guidance of related theories,a preliminary design and construction of STEM-based Prototype of artificial intelligence teaching model.The second stage: practice revision,according to the prototype of the teaching model,design specific teaching projects to carry out practice,and revise and adjust the teaching model based on classroom observation,after-class feedback and questionnaire survey.After two rounds of correction and one round of verification,a feasible and reliable STEM-based artificial intelligence teaching model was finally obtained.The model is divided into three stages: perceiving artificial intelligence,trying artificial intelligence and evaluating artificial intelligence,and nine links: creating life situations,experiencing intelligent applications,graphical principles and processes,design project plans,implementation plans,test optimization and perfection,report and exchange results,reflect on technical defects and look forward to future development.The third stage: effect verification,using quasi-experimental research methods to evaluate the effectiveness of STEM-based teaching models from both subject attitude and information literacy.The data results show that:(1)STEM-based teaching models can effectively promote students' information literacy at the level of computational thinking.(2)Compared with the lecture-and-practice teaching model,the STEM-based teaching model can effectively improve students' information literacy to a certain extent,especially at the level of "information awareness".(3)Compared with the lecture-and-practice teaching model,the STEM-based teaching model can effectively enhance the subject attitude of the "value" level of artificial intelligence.
