As an education directly facing modernization,facing the world,and facing the future,information technology education is one of the important ways to cultivate students' information literacy,innovative thinking and comprehensive ability.Junior high school information technology education is one of the important links of information technology education.At present,there are still problems in the teaching of junior high school information technology,such as limited teaching time and space,lack of interaction in the teaching process,and curriculum teaching that does not break the "subject standard",which affect the teaching effect of information technology courses.The characteristics of STEAM education project-style teaching organization,interdisciplinary,learning by doing,and solving problems in real situations are conducive to breaking the boundaries of time and space,increasing teaching interaction,and promoting the integrated teaching of information technology and other disciplines.Therefore,how to design and carry out project-based teaching of junior high school information technology courses based on the STEAM concept is a problem to be discussed in this research institute.This research summarizes the teaching status of junior high school information technology courses,and summarizes the problems existing in the teaching of junior high school information technology courses.And refer to the related research of STEAM education and project-based teaching,explore the feasibility and necessity of applying STEAM concept to junior high school information technology courses,and put forward a project-based teaching mode of junior high school information technology courses based on STEAM concept.Finally,the project-based teaching practice of junior high school information technology courses based on STEAM concepts was launched in Z Middle School.The collection and analysis of teaching data through observations,questionnaires,interviews,etc.confirmed that the development of junior high school information technology courses under this model can solve the problems in teaching,and improve students ' interest in learning,collaboration and participation,awareness of innovation,and critical thinking.All have been effective.
