Since ancient times, mankind has never stopped exploring the mystery of time.Philosophers, physicists, historians, sociologists and so on are scrambling to think about time-related problems from their perspectives, and the works on time are also endless.Children also have their own understandings of time.Meanwhile,as social information providers, their recognition and understanding of time shows their reflection of their way of life, which has a unique value. But few scholars have explored the pattern of time in children's eyes. This study is based on the standpoint of children,by exploring children's simple understanding of time, paying attention to children's inner experience of time and understanding children's way of using time, which is aimed at promoting adults' understanding and supporting children's multiple expression, experience and application of time and paying attention to children's demands for time.We hope they can take children's voices into consideration when arranging children's daily life time.In this study,50 large class children(24 boys and 26 girls)in a private kindergarten in Nanjing were invited as participants.By using mosaic method, the research process uses Nvivo11 software to code, analyze and discuss the first-hand data. The results are presented from three aspects: children's understanding of time, children's perception and experience of time and children's use of time.In the cognitive level of children's understanding of time,it is mainly discussed from the children's understanding of what time is,and where time comes. Finally, according to the characteristics and connotation of time in the eyes of 5-6years old children, the researchers put forward the following educational suggestions: from single to pluralistic: to recognize and experience real time in life situations;from attachment to independence: to respect children's time rhythm;from scarcity to adequacy:to equalize time rights to children;from authoritarianism to dialogue: adults listen to children's time experiences and demands and build time life together. There are the researchers' reflections on data collection, data analysis and research objects at the end of the study.
