After the implementation of a new round of curriculum reform in China,The number of "readings" in a math textbook of junior middle schools in China has increased significantly compared with that before the reform.These reading materials are rich in content,containing important educational value and injecting new vitality into mathematics teaching materials.Therefore,it is necessary and significant to study these "reading materials".In order to improve the effective use of these "reading materials" by front-line mathematics teachers in mathematics teaching and students in mathematics learning,this study takes the JPSTP-edition junior middle school mathematics textbook as an example to study the "reading materials" in junior middle school mathematics textbook.First of all,based on the previous theory of "reading materials",this paper sorts out and analyzes the reading materials of the junior middle school mathematics textbook of jiangsu university.This paper summarizes the "reading materials" of junior middle school mathematics in JPSTP-edition from four aspects: distribution,type,presentation and characteristics.The results show that the "reading materials" of junior middle school mathematics in JPSTP-edition are evenly distributed on the whole,especially in the fields of number and algebra,figure and geometry.These reading materials are mainly divided into four categories: mathematical knowledge,mathematical culture,mathematical thinking and methods,and mathematical application.These reading materials have the characteristics of expansion,culture and application.Secondly,this paper discusses the teaching value of "reading materials" in the junior middle school mathematics textbook of JPSTP-edition by using mathematics teachers and students who are closely related to the "reading materials" in the teaching materials.For teachers,"reading materials" have the value of infiltrating mathematical thinking and methods,expanding teaching contents,spreading mathematical culture and art,breaking through key and difficult points in teaching and strengthening discipline integration.For students,"reading materials" have the value of improving mathematics reading ability,increasing mathematics activity experience,mastering mathematics language,changing mathematics learning mode and deepening mathematics understanding.Finally,"how to teach around the value of 'reading material'?" This question provides strategies for teachers and students to apply "reading materials" respectively.For teachers,they can use reading materials to create context.Use reading materials to carry out activities;The value of "reading materials" can be realized by using materials to make up questions and reading materials to make up number learning questions.For students,the value of "reading materials" can be realized by means of such strategies as "preliminary learning"--using reading materials for pre-class reading and improving efficiency according to law--using reading materials for in-class guidance and discussion and using reading materials for after-class discussion.
