The education administration requires that written homework is not allowed in the lower grades of elementary schools and promotes non-written homework. However, there is no systematic research on how lower grade non-written math homework is designed and arranged, and how non-written math homework affects students' creative propensity and academic performance. To clarify the impact of non-written mathematical homework on academic performance and creative tendencies of lower grade students, two studies were designed.Study?attempted to answer how to design and perform non-written math homework for the lower grades of primary school by the education administration? A total of 10 experienced primary school mathematics teachers and teaching and research staff participated in the survey. The main results are:(1)Non-written homework mainly include: oral heart memory, manual operation, practical application, oral expression, life practice.(2)The key points of non-written mathematical homework design are: homework design should be interesting and living;to ensure the time and quality of completion.(3)The requirements for non-written mathematical homework assignment and correction are: oral heart recording, completed through classroom questions and testing, oral expression, through Q and A inspection, manual operation, through the students' learning tools test.Based on the basis of Study?,Study II designed an eight-unit non-written mathematical homework scheme to explore the impact of non-written mathematical homework on the creative tendency and academic performance of lower grades? With two second-grade primary school classes as the object,we carried out teaching experiments for one semester.According to the research ethics requirements, the experiment in Study II is a natural experiment. The results showed that:(1)Compared with traditional homework,non-written homework can also significantly improve students' math performance, but not more significantly than that of traditional homework.(2)The damage to the creative tendency of the experimental subjects is moderate, while the damage of the non-written work to the creative tendency is not obvious.Based on the above studies, this article suggests:(1)teachers,parents and students should implement the requirements of not doing written homework in lower primary schools;(2)teachers and parents in lower primary schools should focus on the creative cultivation of children, pay attention to non-written homework, rather than not do too many repetitive written homework for the sake of short-term results.
