The report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China emphasizes that "we should fully implement the Party's education policy and implement the fundamental task of cultivating people by virtue." In his speech at the National Education Conference in September 2018,General Secretary Xi once again emphasized the fundamental task of cultivating people with moral integrity,adhering to the socialist education development path with Chinese characteristics,and training socialist builders and successors who are well developed morally,intellectually,physically,aesthetically,and with hard work.With the advancement of national education reform,nowadays,music education has become an important part of school quality education,the high school music education for primary and secondary school music education process in the final stages,the function of the continuation of the compulsory education stage music subject value,therefore,under the background of new era "Strengthen Moral Education and Cultivate People",ordinary high school music education should play its unique function of moral education,raises the student good music core literacy and noble character,and to meet the development requirements of the new era.This study takes music appreciation teaching in ordinary high schools as the starting point,combines theoretical basis with teaching practice,and explores how to "Strengthen Moral Education and Cultivate People" in music appreciation teaching in ordinary high schools in the new era.This paper is divided into four chapters.First,in the introduction,the author elaborates the reasons,significance,ideas,methods and research status at home and abroad,and draws theoretical and practical experience from it,and briefly summarizes the fundamental task of "cultivating people by virtue".The author in the first chapter mainly from the "Strengthen Moral Education and Cultivate People" the theoretical basis and the moral education function of music has carried on the related study and analysis,put forward under the background of new era,the ordinary high school music appreciation teaching can achieve the virtue of high school students patriotism,the virtue of unyielding,the virtue of cultural self-confidence and social morality of the four aspects of moral education.The second chapter starts from the textbook Music Appreciation(2019 edition),explores and develops the teaching contents of "four moral education",selects several core teaching methods for integration and optimization,and puts forward three feasible concrete methods.And the third chapter in the paper,the author based on the above theoretical exploration and the choice of teaching contents,methods and optimization,aim at the second high school music appreciation classroom,shandong qingzhou in teaching a line for set up the "four moral education" teaching practice exploration,finally according to the effect of the practice and feedback cause thinking,put forward the corresponding improvement strategy,hope to be able to in the "Strengthen Moral Education and Cultivate People" under the background of new era,through the ordinary high school music appreciation teaching to better to build,with aesthetic education.
