Chemistry is one of the natural disciplines,creating and transforming substances in different levels to promote the development of human civilization,which is closely related to our daily life,economic development,technology and environmental protection,so it is the mission to permeate STSE education in chemistry teaching.Chemistry textbooks contain a lot of STSE contents,which is related to cultivate the core quality of chemistry,so it is particularly important to learn and analyze the STSE contents in the textbooks.Course standard and textbooks are two static texts,which was analyzed by this study,hoping to solve the following problems: What are the learning requirements for STSE content in the Course standard? What are the STSE contents have been integrated into the current compulsory textbooks published by the People's Education Publishing House? What are the characteristics of the arrangement and presentation of textbooks?The study of these questions will help teachers to conduct STSE education and study the textbooks.The Senior One teachers were investigated about their attention to and understanding of STSE content in textbooks by this study;Then on the basis of combing domestic and foreign literatures,according to the research results of scholars,the STSE content analysis scale of chemistry textbooks is constructed;Finally based on the STSE content analysis scale,the current compulsory textbooks published by the Public Education edition was analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively from science and technology events and their social contextualization,interplay between science and technology,science and technology's influence on the society,the social influence on science and technology,controversial issues and decision making process of six primary dimensions and twenty-five secondary dimensions.The results are as follows:(1)Form the perspective of quantity and presentation,there is a considerable amount of STSE content in the compulsory textbooks published by the Public Education edition.The presentation mode is mainly based on this text,and most of the text and column presentation lacks the collocation of illustrations.The column of "Science,Technology and Society" is presented with text and illustrations.(2)In terms of knowledge breadth,factual knowledge is the most and affective content is the least.(3)In terms of integrity,the first dimension has good integrity,while the second dimension has five missing items.(4)From the point of view of consistency with the requirements of the Course standard,it generally meets the requirements,with only one standard not involved.On the basis of the scale analysis,teaching suggestions have been put forward by finding the relationship between the "Science,Technology and Society" column and the chapter content from the perspective of knowledge and ability.Finally,from the aspect of class teaching and textbook,some suggestions for STSE teaching have been provided.
