With the continuous popularization of computer technology innovation and applications,computational thinking,methods and choices have become increasingly diversified.Social life has put forward higher requirements for the accuracy and efficiency of mathematical calculations.The learning,application and popularization of estimation methods have gradually raised people's attention.The compulsory education mathematics curriculum standard lists estimation as the content of mathematics learning,and puts forward teaching requirements for students in their different ages and grades,which not only reflects the stage of mathematics teaching,but also shows the importance of estimation teaching.The estimation ability of elementary school students includes three parts: consciousness,skills and application.Among the three parts,estimation skills and estimation consciousness are closely related to the strength level of the number sense.This research is mainly divided into five parts.The first and second parts focus on background literature,finding out valuable research directions on the basis of dynamic understanding of research in related fields,focusing on describing the current research status of elementary school students' mathematical estimation ability,and providing a brief explanation of related research and analysis.The third part focuses on connotation theory,analyzing the estimation ability and the theoretical basis of training,aiming to provide theoretical support for improving the estimation ability of elementary school students.The fourth part is to carry out questionnaire surveys and test questions,using questionnaire survey and test methods to investigate and analyze the status of students' estimation ability in F elementary school in Hangzhou.Based on the analysis of student questionnaires and test questions,the status of students' mathematics estimation ability is obtained.The next step is to find out the existing problems as well as the underlying reasons.The fifth part is based on the current situation of students' mathematics estimation ability,putting forward the strategy from the perspective of teachers themselves,their teaching tools and methods.
