Problem solving is an important way to measure students' mastery of knowledge and an important evaluation method for teachers' teaching and students' learning. With the development of the times, the application of students' knowledge is also put forward higher and higher requirements. However,in the process of solving problems, primary school students often have problems such as unclear examination, inaccurate reading and unclear solution.Based on this, this study takes the students of grade 4and grade 5 of J primary school and W primary school as the survey objects, through literature analysis, questionnaire, test, interview and classroom observation and other methods, systematically explores the current situation of primary school students' mathematical problem-solving ability from the perspective of mathematical language, and puts forward some strategies. The first part establishes the research direction for this study, including the first and second chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, which describes the background, problems, significance, ideas and methods of this study; The second chapter is the literature review, which collates and analyzes the related research on "mathematical language" and "mathematical application problems".The second part establishes the research perspective and provides theoretical support for this study, including the third and fourth chapters. In the third chapter, through the definition of "mathematical language","mathematical problem-solving ability" and the relationship between them, the concept of autonomy is defined, which determines that this study studies the primary school students' mathematical problem-solving ability from the perspective of mathematical language. The fourth chapter introduces the main theoretical support of this study, namely Polya's problem-solving theory, language generation theory and Tao er's construction theory. The third part is the core of this paper, including the fifth and sixth chapters. In the fifth chapter, through the analysis of the test paper and classroom observation,we find that there are three major language problems in the process of solving problems:mathematical language understanding problem, conversion problem and expression problem. Then from the questionnaire and interview materials,it analyzes the two reasons for the obstacles: the subjective aspect includes the limitation of thinking development, the interference of fear of difficulties, the lack of life experience, the lack of good listening habits, and the weakness of basic knowledge; The objective aspect includes teachers' incomplete understanding of mathematical language and single type of application questions. The sixth chapter, based on the complete dynamic process of problem solving, puts forward practical strategies for the mathematical language barriers of primary school students. The fourth part is the end of this study, including the seventh chapter. The seventh chapter is a summary and Reflection on the process and results of this study, which not only puts forward the shortcomings of this study, but also provides ideas for further research.
