| The physics curriculum standard of senior high school(2017)proposes to "Promote the accomplishment of physics core literacy through problem-solving".Physics reading and physics problem representation,as a crucial link in physics problem solving,have drawn the attention of an increasing number of researchers since the introduction of core literacy.Furthermore,citizens’ scientific literacy establishes specific requirements for scientific reading and problem-solving abilities.Improving students’ physical reading ability and physical problem representation capacity as future citizens is critical to the development of their physical core literacy and scientific literacy.This study will investigate the relationship between physical reading ability and physical problem representation capacity,as well as add to the existing theoretical studies.The research subjects of this thesis were newly enrolled senior one students from two high schools in Ningxia.The subjects were given a physics reading ability test paper and a physics problem representation ability test paper,which were then collected,evaluated,and statistically analyzed,and the study’s findings are summarized below.To begin,the current level of physics reading ability and physics problem representation ability of senior one students in Ningxia was evaluated using test papers;second,the correlation between the two abilities was investigated,with a particular emphasis on the relationship between the dimensions of physics reading and physics problem representation ability;finally,teaching suggestions for developing the above two abilities were made based on theoretical research and teaching experience.According to the findings: newly enrolled senior one students are reading at the second stage-comprehending reading level.Individual disparities between pupils are significant.Some students are transitioning from comprehension to critical reading,while newly enrolled senior one students have excellent cognitive reading skills.Newly enrolled senior one students have a medium degree of physical representation ability.The development of written representation ability is good,scientific representation ability is medium-level,naive representation ability and mathematical representation ability are weak,and the development progress of mathematical representation ability is uneven,with large differences among individuals,among the four dimensions of physical problem representation ability.And there is an extremely significant correlation among these four dimensions.All four stages of physics problem representation ability and physics reading ability showed significant positive correlations,indicating that the two abilities do interact,but the interaction diminishes when physics reading ability and physics problem representation ability develop to a higher level. |
