Mathematical language is an important tool for mathematical thinking and communication.The essence of solving mathematical problems is the mutual transformation of language.The article studies the following three questions:(1)what is the development level of students' math language conversion ability in grade 7-9?(2)What are the characteristics of the mathematical language conversion ability development level of the students in grade 7-9?(3)What are the factors that affect the difference in the mathematical language conversion ability of students in different grades?Students from grade 7-9 of three middle schools in Bazhou,Xinjiang were selected as the research objects to study the level and characteristics of students' mathematical language conversion ability,and the factors affecting the differences of students of different grades were investigated through questionnaire survey.The survey found that the development level of mathematical language conversion ability of students in grade 7-9 is:(1)the seventh,eighth and ninth grade students' symbol conversion language ability level is low.(2)The language language ability level of the seventh grade students is in the medium level,and the eighth and ninth grade students are good level.(3)The text to graphic language ability level of the seventh grade students is low,while the eighth and ninth grade students are in the middle level.(4)Seven,eighth and ninth grade students graphic language ability level is low.(5)The symbolic transgraphic language ability level of grade 7 and grade 8students is low,and the ability level of grade 9 students is not ideal.(6)Seven Ninth grade students have a low level of pattern to symbol language ability,and eighth grade students are in the middle level.(7)Seventh and eighth grade students have weaker ability level to mathematics language,and ninth grade students have better ability level.(8)The seventh grade students' mathematics to natural language ability is medium level,and the eighth and ninth grade students have higher level.(9)Grade 7 and eighth grade students have low ability to transform multiple languages,and grade 9 students have medium ability level.The development characteristics of mathematical language conversion ability in grade 7-9 are:(1)with the increase of grade,the level of mathematical language conversion ability shows an upward trend.(2)The highest ability level of text to sign language,mathematical language to natural language,and the ability level of schema to text language is the lowest.(3)The eighth grade has the highest ability level in literal and schematic symbolic language,and the eighth grade students have advantages in learning symbolic language.(4)Students in the symbol language to text language,text language to schema language,symbol to schema,natural language and mathematical language exchange,multiple language conversion,with the grade increase ability water Flat gradually increases;the ability of graphic to text language gradually decreases with grade increase.The factors affecting the differences in students' mathematical language conversion ability in different grades are:(1)the factors affecting the differences in language conversion ability are that seventh grade students do not pay attention to language conversion and are not used to using language description,and there are problems in symbolic language understanding.(2)The reason for the difference in language conversion ability is that students do not pay much attention to language transformation and do not fully understand the theorem formulas described by text and symbolic language.(3)The reasons for the difference in language conversion ability of grade 9 students are that they have irritability in written language,problems in symbolic language understanding,and a single form of knowledge mastery.According to the above conclusions,suggestions are put forward for the development of mathematical language transformation ability of grade 7-9 students.
