Curriculum reform puts forward new requirements for high school geography curriculum,which requires that high school geography curriculum should provide students with sufficient opportunities for practical activities,strengthen the integration of disciplines,and innovate high school geography practice curriculum that can meet the needs of students in many aspects.As a new curriculum form of geography curriculum,geography school-based practice course can provide rich opportunities for students' learning activities,cultivate students' geographical practice ability in practice and implement the core literacy of geography.In recent years,steam education concept has been widely concerned by domestic scholars because of its interdisciplinary,practical and innovative characteristics.The application of this education concept can promote the development of students' various abilities and qualities.This study uses the steam concept to carry out an innovative design for the school-based practice course of high school geography,and carries out specific curriculum practice activities around the research theme of "the production of sundial",aiming to continuously improve students' geography practice ability,implement the core literacy of geography discipline,and provide design ideas for the school-based practice course of high school geography based on the steam concept.The main contents are as follows:First,take the literature research method to explain the current situation of steam education research at home and abroad,the integration of steam education concept and China's high school geography curriculum,and find the research direction for the school-based practice course of high school geography.Second,in view of the current situation that the design and research of high school geography school-based practical course under the concept of steam in China is still in the initial stage,this paper further defines the concept of steam education and the core concept of geography school-based practical course,and selects the scientific theoretical basis to guide the research.Third,sort out the integration points between geography curriculum objectives,geography school-based practical course content and steam education objectives and ideas,and explain the feasibility of integrating steam education ideas into high school geography school-based practical courses.Fourth,select the content suitable for the integration of the natural geography part of the Hunan Education Edition Textbook with the steam concept,appropriately select the curriculum research theme of "the production of sundial",adopt the case study method,and scientifically formulate the curriculum design principles and processes of geography school-based practical courses around the theme cases.Fifthly,take the action research method to carry out the curriculum practice of "sundial making" by using the theories and knowledge of various disciplines in the steam field on the basis of following the curriculum design principles and processes,so as to continuously improve students' geographical practice ability,innovation ability and comprehensive thinking ability,and implement the core literacy of geography.This study mainly adopts the methods of literature research,case study and action research to design and study the school-based practice course of Geography under the concept of steam.Carrying out the practice activity of "sundial making" course can not only make innovative sundial learning tools and effectively implement the core literacy of geography,but also provide design ideas for the future steam education concept and the construction of school-based practice course of Geography in senior high school,which has certain reference and reference significance.
