Technology is an important part of human civilization and one of the important standards of social productivity.The training of technical talents has become an important means to enhance the country's international competitiveness.Therefore,in the highly developed United States,the STEAM education concept for cultivating new types of technical talents has been created.The STEAM education concept allows students to apply interdisciplinary perspectives to thinking,and in the process of exploration,cultivate students' ability to apply comprehensive applications,practical ability,and innovation ability,which is in order to grow into the innovative talents that society needs.Based on the need of establishing a new talent training mode in China and the current situation that general technology in senior high schools attaches more importance to theory than practice,this study has carried out the research of integrating STEAM education into general technology classroom.This paper analyses and summarizes the current situation of STEAM education at home and abroad by means of literature research.Secondly,after analyzing the current situation of the curriculum standard of general technology in senior high schools and the teaching of general technology in schools,in order to implement the student-centered and hands-on practice-centered learning mode,this study developed the school-based curriculum of Tangshan Shadow based on the concept of STEM,using Skilbeck's situational model as the theoretical basis.In the course of curriculum implementation,project teaching method is the main mode of curriculum implementation,referring to STEM-SOS teaching model,step-by-step project activities,using the development of students' multiple intelligences to gradually improve students' STEAM literacy,while completing group evaluation,self-evaluation and mutual evaluation of students.The experiment shows that through the educational teaching activities of the school-based course "Tangshan Shadow" under the concept of STEAM,the students' enthusiasm for learning has been greatly enhanced and the students' ability for interdisciplinary learning has been exercised.In the process of exploring shadow productiontechniques,co-producing shadow characters,and shooting videos,students use science,technology,engineering,mathematics,and art to complete projects.It has cultivated students' comprehensive skills such as information integration,technology application,team cooperation,and problem solving,strengthened students' technical awareness and engineering thinking,enhanced students 'knowledge materialization ability,and also enabled the Chinese nation's outstanding traditional culture to inherit and continue.It is hoped that this study will provide a new reference for the study of the localization of STEAM education and promote the better integration of STEAM education into the teaching of general technical disciplines.
