In practice,it is found that many junior middle school students have a strong interest in physics and good academic results.However,after entering senior high school,they find it more and more difficult to learn physics,which leads to the decline of their interest and confidence in this subject and the increase of learning problems.Therefore,for a long time,educational theorists and physics front-line teachers attach great importance to the connection of physics teaching between junior and senior high schools.In 2019,with the reform of college entrance examination in Hubei Province,the "3-1-2" new course selection model was fully implemented,further highlighting the important role of physics in basic education.At the same time,the new standards and requirements of physics curriculum also bring new opportunities and challenges to middle school physics teaching.Under the new model,it is of great significance to study how to realize the smooth transition between junior middle school physics teaching and senior high school physics teaching.This study first analyzes the structure and test content of the physics curriculum under the new and old college entrance examination models,and then and then analyzes the differences of physics curriculum standards,textbooks compiling,and physics' competency requirements between the junior high school and senior high school in order to explore the changes of the new and old college entrance examination models and the differences between junior and senior high school physics.Secondly,this study investigated students and physics teachers in three senior high schools i.e.,Shiyan Yunyang High School,Shiyan Foreign Language School and Shiyan Liulin High School by means of questionnaires and interviews,and also conducted a questionnaire survey on the physics teachers of these students in junior high school.Finally,SPSS22.0 was used to analyze the collected data and find problems existed in the connection of physics teaching between junior and senior high schools.The results of statistical analysis show that:(1)the gender differences of students and their interest in learning are generally reduced;(2)the differences in thinkingcharacteristics of junior and senior high school students are ignored;(3)most students have improper learning methods;(4)there is a lack of necessary communication between junior and senior high school teachers;(5)there is a lack of supplementary knowledge of relevant disciplines;(6)excessive attention from parents.In view of these problems,the corresponding strategies are proposed based on relevant theories:(1)carry out stratified teaching and attach importance to individual differences of students;(2)build logical system,consolidate basic knowledge and basic ability;(3)train students' physical thinking ability,and develop the subject literacy comprehensively;(4)expand students' learning horizons and improve their interest in learning;(5)establish a professional community and promote exchanges between teachers;(6)strengthen the connection of related disciplines and break the span block;(7)promote the cooperation between parents and teachers to enhance students' development.In the final part,the paper points out the shortcomings of the research and prospects for future research.
