Education is the foundation of a century-long project,and the fundamental task of education is to build morality and cultivate people.At present,China is changing greatly,which is unprecedented in a century,so that it is particularly important to strengthen ideological and political education and cultivate new generation who can shoulder the great responsibility of national rejuvenation.In order to better realize the all-member,all-process,and all-round education and improve the current educational tendency of "emphasizing wisdom over morality",ideological and political education in all kinds of curriculum teaching at all levels has been advocated and paid more and more attention.Therefore,this paper focuses on problem-based teaching,and studies how to effectively carry out ideological and political education of senior high school geography curriculum.In this paper,after laying the theory foundation through literature review,the author attempted to summarize 22 ideological and political geography elements from three levels of state,society,and individual.Besides,the author clarified the relationship between problem-based teaching and ideological and political education in geography curriculum,investigated the current situation of geography teaching,and then made a theoretical construction and practical exploration on how to use the problem-based teaching to carry out ideological and political education of senior high school geography curriculum.The purpose of this research is to provide reference for frontline geography teachers to better carry out ideological and political education of geography curriculum and improve students' ideological consciousness and moral quality.The research is mainly divided into the following parts:The first part summarizes the research status and lays the theoretical foundation of the research by sorting out the literature related to "ideological and political education" and "question-based teaching".Based on the understanding of geography curriculum standards and ideological and political education connotation,this part summarizes 22 ideological and political geography elements in three levels and six categories,and further analyzes the feasibility of carrying out ideological and political education of senior high school geography curriculum based on question-based teaching.The second part investigates,with the help of questionnaires,the current situation of carrying out ideological and political education of senior high school geography curriculum and the current status of problem-based teaching.It is concluded that the problems affecting the ideological and political education of senior high school geography curriculum to be effectively carried out include:(1)teachers' ideological and political literacy needs to be improved,and the teachers pay insufficient attention to ideological and political education;(2)teaching hours are tense,and teachers' understanding of problem-based teaching needs to be updated;(3)the way of carrying out ideological and political education is not clear,and teachers are tired of exploring how to effectively carry out ideological and political education.The third part proposes a theoretical construction of using question-based teaching to carry out ideological and political education of senior high school geography curriculum on the basis of literature review and current situation investigation,and presents an implementation plan of ideological and political education of senior high school geography curriculum based on question-based teaching with Geography 1 as a content carrier.The fourth part attempts to evaluate the effect of carrying out ideological and political education of senior high school geography curriculum by using problem-based teaching,based on comparisons of after-class questionnaire test results and changes of students' geography learning achievements between an experimental class and a comparative class,and concludes that the ideological and political education of senior high school geography curriculum based on problem-based teaching has a positive impact on the students' ideological and moral quality and geography learning achievement.From the theoretical level,this research analyzed the feasibility of using problem-based teaching to carry out the ideological and political education of senior high school geography curriculum,and given a theoretical exposition and practical guidance on how to use problem-based teaching to effectively carry out ideological and political education of senior high school geography curriculum.Besides,through a teaching experiment,the research verified that carrying out ideological and political education of geography curriculum based on the question-based teaching can indeed have a positive impact on the improvement of students' ideological consciousness and moral quality.However,it is a long-term project to carry out ideological and political education of geography curriculum,which cannot be accomplished overnight.Moreover,the teaching form suitable for carrying out ideological and political education of the geography curriculum is not limited to question-based teaching,and thus scholars need to continue to deepen their research.
