The research on core literacy has become a hot topic in education reform since the beginning of 21 st century.In China,the research started relatively late.In 2014,the Ministry of Education began to organize experts to conduct and research on the system.In September 2016,an index system was proposed,and the core literacy was put forward by experts according to the system.The Physics Curriculum Standards for General Senior High School published in 2017 divides the core physics literacy into four aspects:“physics concept”,“scientific thinking”,“scientific inquiry”,and “scientific attitude and responsibility”.Scientific thinking is an important part of the core physics literacy.At present,the level of scientific thinking ability of senior high school students should be evaluated.Evaluation is also an important link of education reform.The reason is that an effective evaluation is not only the premise of core literacy curriculum development and teaching,but also has a guiding function affecting the educational practice.However,at present,there are few evaluation studies specifically on the thinking ability of physical science.In my study,an evaluation study on the thinking ability of high school students in physical science is discussed.The main research process and conclusions are as follows:First of all,an evaluation tool of high school students' physical science thinking ability is made.On the basis of literature research,the scientific thinking ability is divided into model construction ability,reasoning ability and innovation ability.Also,five levels of performance on scientific thinking ability,respectively question modeling ability,reasoning ability and innovation ability is proposed,which is based on the theory of the SOLO classification level and “course standard”.Then,corresponding questions(drafts)are carried out according to the level of performance.Through the preliminary test,the Louis Guttman Scale is used to test and revise the quality of the test questions.Then,a final examination tool of the physical science thinking ability is reformed.Finally,200 students in grade three of a high school in Fuzhou are selected to carry out the assessment of high school students' thinking ability.Study shows that a high-quality exam assessment tools is a good way to measure the level of students' scientific thinking,while the measurement sample of middle school students' ability of modeling and reasoning ability level is normal distribution.Moreover,the question of students' ability to innovate at level 3,mostly is the correlation structure of the theory of SOLO.
