It has been 18 years since the 2004 edition of senior high school biology textbook was published.Facing the new requirements of talents training in the new era of senior high school education in China,the 2004 edition of senior high school biology textbook seems to be somewhat inadaptable.Therefore,in line with the trend of education,the new textbooks were officially released in 2019 under the guidance of the 2017 high school Biology Curriculum Standards,and will be put into use across the country in the near future.It is very important for teachers to analyze the similarities and differences between the two editions of teaching materials and grasp the revision ideas of teaching materials at the time of the alternation of old and new teaching materials.Therefore,this study takes the module of "Genetics and Evolution" as an example to make an in-depth comparison of the similarities and differences between the 2004 edition and 2019 edition of biology textbooks of Senior High School of Humanities Education Society.This study adopts questionnaire survey teachers’ understanding of the 2019 revised edition of teaching materials,the survey found that teachers believe that the new teaching material in creative ways to cover design,column setup,exercises is superior to the old teaching material;Teachers believe that the implementation of subject core literacy requires the elaboration of teaching objectives,the penetration of subject core literacy in class,and the teaching of units as a whole.After the revision of the new textbook,the teachers’ concept changes are embodied in the emphasis on process,multi-evaluation and multimedia application.The challenges brought to teachers after the revision of teaching materials are reflected in the incomplete understanding of the curriculum standard,the contradiction between practical teaching and limited class hours,the limited conditions for practical teaching,and the slow acceptance of the new teaching materials by old teachers.Comparative study method was used to make a comparison between the 2003 edition and the 2017 edition of high school biology curriculum standards,and the results showed that: The 2017 edition of curriculum standards proposed the curriculum objectives of subject core literacy and the basic concepts of big-concept teaching.Under the guidance of these objectives and concepts,the nature of biology curriculum was reconfirmed,the curriculum structure was rearranged,and the specific content standards were revised.The comparison between the 2004 edition and the 2019 edition of high school biology textbooks shows that the layout and content of the new textbooks are arranged in accordance with the implementation of curriculum standards,the knowledge system of the textbooks is simplified,and each section can reflect the goal of cultivating students’ core literacy in the subject.In conclusion,draw the conclusion: the new curriculum standard characteristics are as follows:(1)accomplishment of the new curriculum standard to the core of the subject as the core.(2)The expression form of "big concept-important concept-secondary concept" is adopted.(3)The new curriculum standard has the characteristics of The Times.The features of the new textbook are as follows:(1)The layout of the new textbook is more beautiful.(2)The knowledge system of the new textbook is more simplified.(3)The new textbooks fully implement the Party’s educational policy and carry out the fundamental task of moral education.(4)The new textbook tries to break the vicious circle of exam-oriented education.Therefore,some suggestions are put forward for teachers to use the new textbooks:(1)Implement the curriculum standards and focus on the core qualities of the subject.(2)Reasonable arrangement of practical activities and limited class hours.(3)Flexible use of teaching materials according to teaching conditions.Some suggestions are put forward for students to learn the new textbook:(1)Make full use of the auxiliary learning function of each column of the textbook to develop the core literacy.(2)Make full use of the readability of the textbook for preview.(3)Form the knowledge system into the biological concept.Some suggestions for compiling textbooks are put forward:(1)the setting of exercises should pay attention to the investigation of basic knowledge;(2)pay attention to the integration of interdisciplinary knowledge...
