Research Objective:Exercise Physiology A large number of studies have confirmed that the physiological benefits of high intensity interval exercise(HIIT)are greater than those of moderate intensity continuous exercise(MICT),and due to the advantages of short time and high efficiency,more people choose this type of exercise.Although the physiological benefits of HIIT have been confirmed by many researchers,the applicability of HIIT in effects has not been fully and extensively demonstrated,mainly because the research on the psychological benefits of HIIT started late in China,and due to the complexity of HIIT,the results of various studies are different.Studies show that affect induced by exercise are one of the motivations for individuals to participate in exercise,and the sense of enjoyment of exercise determines the persistence of individuals to participate in exercise.Therefore,based on previous studies,the first focus of this study is to explore the effects and differences of affect and enjoyment among different intermittent modes HIIT(intermittent mode=1:1,intermittent mode>1:1),and further expand relevant research results.Meanwhile,the second focus of this study is to compare the effects and differences of HIIT of four different exercise-interval duration on affect and enjoyment based on 1:1 and 1:2 exercise-interval ratio,so as to provide theoretical support for more scientific improvement of public health level and selection of safe and effective exercise prescription.Research methods:In study 1,40 college students with high physical activity level were selected and randomly assigned to intermittent mode=1:1 group or intermittent mode>1:1 group.Interval mode=1:1 group exercise for 1min at 85%of maximum heart rate or above,interval for 1min;In the interval mode>1:1 group,the subjects exercised for 1min at 85%of maximum heart rate or above,and the interval was 2min.The intervention time was 20min.Data of RPE,FS and EES shall be collected in the last 5s measurement of each exercise and interval,and data of PACES shall be collected before,immediately after and 20min after exercise.In study 2,80college students with high physical activity level were selected and randomly assigned to four intervention groups,namely 30 seconds of exercise and 30 seconds of interval;Movement 30s,1min interval;Exercise 1min,intermittent 1min;Exercise1min,interval 2min;The intensity of each group during exercise period was 85%maximum heart rate and above,and the intervention time was 20min.Data of RPE,FS and EES shall be collected in the last 5s measurement of each exercise and interval,and data of PACES shall be collected before,immediately after and 20min after exercise.Results:Study 1,RPE:The time effect was significant(F(7,32)=5.967,?~2=0.566,p<0.05),the effect of different intermittent mode was significant(F(1,38)=6.946,?~2=0.155,p<0.05),and the interaction effect was significant(F(7,32)=2.222,?~2=0.327,P<0.05),RPE of>1:1 intermittent mode was significantly lower than that of=1:1 intermittent mode.FS:The time effect was significant(F(7,32)=2.537,?~2=0.357,p<0.05),and the effect of different intermittent mode was significant(F(1,38)=4.030,?2=0.096,p<0.05),but the interaction effect was not significant(p>0.05).FS in>1:1 intermittent mode was significantly higher than that in=1:1 intermittent mode.EES:time effect,different intermittent mode effect and interaction were not significant(P>0.05);Secondary:The time effect was significant(F(2,37)=32.028,?~2=0.634,p<0.05),but the effect of different intermittent modes(F(1,38)=1.527,?~2=0.039)and interaction(F(2,37)=0.442,?~2=0.023)were not significant(p>0.05).Study 2,RPE:There was significant difference in RPE among all groups during exercise period(F(3,928)=89.101,?~2=0.186,P<0.05),and significant difference in RPE between all groups during interval period(F(3,910)=78.272,?~2=0.163,P<0.05).Whether in the exercise period or in the interval period,the RPE of 30 minutes interval was significantly lower than that of other groups,and the RPE of 1 minute interval was significantly higher than that of other groups.FS:There was significant difference in FS among all groups during exercise period(F(3,928)=38.816,?~2=0.090,P<0.05),and there was significant difference in FS among all groups during interval period(F(3,910)=30.962,?~2=0.077,P<0.05).Whether in the exercise period or in the interval period,the FS of 30 seconds with1min interval was significantly higher than that of the other groups,and the FS of 1minutes with 1min interval was significantly lower than that of the other groups.EES:There was significant difference in EES of each group during exercise(F(3,928)=10.239,?~2=0.033,P<0.05);The EES of each group were significantly different in interval period(F(3,910)=13.352,?~2=0.042,P<0.05),the EES of 2min interval of1min exercise was significantly higher than that of 30s interval 30s and 1min interval1min exercise;Secondary:Time main effect(F(2,70)=119.067,?~2=0.773)and interaction effect(F(6,142)=2.713,?~2=0.103 were significant(p<0.05),but group main effect(F(3,71)=1.041,?~2=0.042)was not significant(p>0.05).Immediately after and 20min after PACES,and 1min after PACES in 30s is significantly better than PACES in 1min after PACES in 1min.Conclusions:1.When individuals with high physical activity level performed HIIT in different intermittent mode(intermittent mode=1:1,intermittent mode>1:1),>1:1 intermittent mode induced lower subjective exertion(RPE)and higher emotion(FS);In addition,compared with pre-paces,the enjoyment induced by the two intermittent modes is significantly improved immediately after and 20min after PACES,and the enjoyment induced by the two intermittent modes is similar to EES and PACES.2.When individuals with high physical activity level performed HIIT with different exercise-interval duration,the interval of 30 seconds and 1 minute induced lower subjective sensation of exertion(RPE)and higher emotion(FS);Compared with 30s interval 30s and 1min interval 1min,1min interval 2min induced a higher sense of enjoyment(EES).At the same time,immediately after exercise and20min after exercise,compared with 1min after exercise,30 seconds with 1min interval induced a higher sense of enjoyment.
