The rapid development of social economy,the rapid innovation of scientific information technology and the development of frontier fields of exhibition majors have constantly stimulated the deepening and reform of the curriculum education of exhibition majors and provided a clear direction for their cultivation objectives.Participatory teaching is commonly used because of its own characteristics and its good fit with the conference and exhibition profession.Research on the application of participatory teaching to exhibition majors is more common.However,the research on the ability of undergraduate students of conference and exhibition majors is relatively rare,and the research on the planning ability of students of conference and exhibition majors by participatory teaching is even more scarce.Based on this,this paper takes the planning ability of undergraduate students of conference and exhibition majors as the research object,conducts research from the five dimensions of general ability,planning ability,innovation ability,comprehensive coordination ability and reflective feedback ability,composes the mechanism of the role of participatory teaching on planning ability through literature,and thus puts forward the strategy of participatory teaching on the planning ability of undergraduate students of conference and exhibition majors.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,including the background of the selected topic,the significance of the study,the current situation of the study,the content and method of the study,and the difficulties and innovations of the study.The second part is the core concepts and theoretical foundations.It includes the elaboration of the concepts of participatory teaching,participatory teaching and exhibition profession,planning ability and the relevant theoretical foundation of participatory teaching.Chapter 3 is the construction of the index system of the influence of participatory teaching on the planning ability of undergraduate students of conference and exhibition majors.The current situation of conference and exhibition majors is investigated,and then the mechanism of the role of participatory teaching in improving the planning ability of undergraduate students of conference and exhibition majors is elaborated,and then the index system of the influence of participatory teaching on planning ability is constructed.In Chapter 4,the empirical study on the influence of participatory teaching on the planning ability of undergraduate students of exhibition majors is conducted.AHP analysis was conducted by means of an expert questionnaire to determine the weights of the indicators.The questionnaires were distributed to the undergraduate students of exhibition and convention majors who used participatory teaching,and then the development level of each influencing factor was measured through the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method,and the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation scores were used to analyse which specific abilities were still lacking and breakthrough.In the fifth part,based on the results of the analysis,the participatory teaching is optimized and the students are the main focus,and the strategies to improve the exhibition planning ability are proposed.This section summarises the shortcomings and provides directions for better research in the future.The results of the study show that the planning ability of undergraduate students of exhibition majors using participatory teaching(3.744)is moderate.From a macro perspective,the planning ability of undergraduate students of exhibition majors is the most important ability among the professional core competencies,and school education hopes to enhance the comprehensive coordination ability,innovation ability,general ability and reflection ability of undergraduate students of exhibition majors in all aspects through participatory teaching.In order to achieve the training objectives and meet the needs of society for talents,we hope that through participatory teaching,students can enhance their comprehensive coordination ability,innovation ability,general ability and reflection ability.From a microscopic perspective,students' innovation ability(3.900)and comprehensive coordination ability(3.919)have been improved,especially in comprehensive coordination(3.919),and students have shown good team spirit(4.0144)and organisational ability(3.850).Further breakthroughs could be made in the aesthetics of the booth(3.831).And in the participatory teaching reflection session,it can be seen that undergraduate students of exhibition majors already have some reflective awareness,but they just need to focus on strengthening their analytical skills(1.967)and interrogative skills(1.993).
